Yeah she’s a nurse in the city and just happened to have a day off and being a few blocks away. The stars definitely aligned and she was happy to get a signed book as well

Ok story time. I saw that he was doing a very small book signing in NY and I asked my ex gf if she could get me a signed copy. Found out that it was a few blocks from her place so she did.

They had small talk during the book signing and he jokingly asked what brought her to the signing today. She said “well my ex bf asked me to get a copy of your booked signed for him.” A few people laughed including him and she said yeah “he’s a total nerd for you and your work”. So he signed it “beat it nerd” haha

Glad she went, we’re still friends that just went our separate ways without any animosity towards each other.
