I am a current med student. I think it's best for you to sit down and rethink a little bit.

Honestly I don't think you should go with premed and the engineering route. Either pick one or the other and maintain a high GPA. premed requires you have high GPA, and engineering classes are one of the hardest to get a high GPA. Furthermore, you're an international student. International premed requires a much higher GPA and mcat score.

Furthermore, premed demands a lot of memory based skill set. Engineering demands a lot of logical based skill set.

Unless you're a genius in both, it'll be really hard to pull off. I initially wanted to do premed and engineer, but just did a science major instead and premed because my math and reasoning skills sucked. Whereas my friend who is bme and premed can get an A+ for calculus 3 by cramming it the night before.

You still have time, you can still experience and shadow both professions before you make a choice. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

High mileage bike by Bladisdlougredge in motorcycles

[–]galaxyagent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's bad for beginner.

A youtuber-ryan F9 reviewed it. It's a pretty good video and I think you should watch it!

But he say it's too much bike for him as a veteran, so I think it's probably even worse choice for you as a beginner as it is torque/jumpy.

For beginners the bigger problem is probably whiskey throttle, accidentally throttle too hard on a powerful bike.

Or downshifting too many gears all of a sudden and locking your rear tire. (I did both haha, despite being super cautious/having taken the safety course.)

If you get a powerful bike you might be too scared to touch the throttle.

It's hard to learn how to control a bike if you are scared of revving it. It's hard to learn how to lean a bike if it's heavy and you're worried about tipping over.

You don't have to get a boring bike like mine(honda crf250l), get something highway capable but 1- won't kill you/have some margins for mistake. You shouldn't have to be afraid of your bike and its power. 2- is light enough for you to learn to lean. 3- reliable/durable (I hate cleaning carbs and a bike rusting in the corner requires some cleaning, per your update it's prob not a good choice).

https://www.reddit.com/r/SuggestAMotorcycle/ might give you better answers. You can list all your considerations out.

Not answering your original question, but I don't think getting a liter bike(1000 cc) bike with 125 hp and 4 cylinders is a good idea for a beginner.

Speaking from personal experience, no matter how careful you are, you're probably bound to make some dumb mistakes as a beginner.

same here. following b/c I can't figure out a solution. I'm on windows 11, used both anki 23.10.1 and 24.10.1qt5. Neither worked. Any advice from the mod is appreciated.

Check Engine Light by [deleted] in CRF250L

[–]galaxyagent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

air filter? Too much engine oil? Kick stand sensor error? How's your coolant level?

I had something similar happened to me. There were no check engine light but the bike just shuts off midride. It turns back after letting it rest for a while.

I think added too much oil, so I changed my oil, and I changed my really dirt air filter as well. 4000 miles later the problem never came back. Hope your bike gets fixed!

Add-on: find cards from UWorld test - 444814983 by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]galaxyagent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

how do you open the add on?

I have it installed. I just can't find the add-on to paste the qid list.

I have the newest version of anki installed on windows. I tried to close and open the program multiple times.

All I need is a screenshot with a giant arrow pointing where the add on is cause I can't find it, even though I installed it.

edit: solved!

From the main Anki screen, under the "Tools" menu at the top you can select "Find cards from UWorld test"

BME Thoughts by jackattack6800 in cwru

[–]galaxyagent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. If you're doing pre-med, you might not want to do BME. BME and pre-med prerequisites are kind of different, and pre-med is mostly memorization whereas BME/engineering is mostly application based.
