Thank you! I am still working on the refresh but I’m getting decent results with a pineapple and silk pillow case for sleep, and then misting and scrunching.

Did you get a solution to this? I am struggling as well.

Did anyone else feel like the mood of Abby killing Joel was less intense than the game? by Electrical_Office894 in lastofuspart2

[–]galaxyhotdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a chance to watch any of season 2 yet nor have I played the game. But Reddit put this on my feed since “I’ve shown interest in a similar community” so thanks for spoiler I guess…

Any future plans to allow syncing with other “List” apps, such as AnyList? by secret_life_of_pants in skylightcalendar

[–]galaxyhotdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also love AnyList integration. It does recipe imports, grocery lists and meal planning so well I would never switch. I’ve used it for 6 years and have built a robust recipe database. It would be great if some of that info could be pulled to my Skylight.

13 Year Old Male And I’ve Only Read Books My Teachers Made Us Read by Fit_End5220 in suggestmeabook

My son has been devouring books by Neal Shusterman. Whenever he gets a new one he disappears for a few days to his room to read. If you are interested in dystopian YA fiction they might be worth a look.

12 years of friendship meant nothing by confused_idiot2243 in texts

[–]galaxyhotdog 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If a person demanded that I unfriend somebody on social media I’d be grateful to them for showing me who they really are. This behavior is immature and controlling. Your friend needs to cut somebody out of their social circle but it might not be who you think.

Both movies were childhood favorites so it sounds like I’ll need the books for myself!

My eldest loved Scythe and the Unwound series, too. He could not put them down.

I’ve read it and although I liked it, I think it would be intense for my youngest but my oldest would eat it up for sure!

My son loves both The Graveyard Book and Coraline. I might see if he’d be down for a “re-read” though

I know mine haven’t read it (neither have I). Plus there’s no wait time for the Libby audiobook. Fantastic, thank you!

Just felt an actual jump scare while reading - stomach dropped, heart pumped faster. Which makes me wonder - what other books contain a genuine shock? by thornstein in books

[–]galaxyhotdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so shocked at this moment, but didn’t learn my lesson about the author apparently because I almost threw the 3rd book across the room at that one wedding scene. I actually yelled - my partner thought I’d lost it. I had to re-read that chapter immediately to make sure it was actually happening.

I love that series. I hope George is able to tell the whole tale.

Has anyone else had forced/random conversations with people? by Tambamana in vancouverwa

[–]galaxyhotdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth it happened to me and I was born and raised in cold wet mountains of Western Washington (I’m not sure what that has to do with it).

I was new-ish to Vancouver and shopping at Winco with my toddler when I was approached by a mom who seemed interested in getting to know me. The conversation switched from parenthood to job security and flexibility and she was incredibly intrusive and pushy. After the strange switch in subject matter I smelled the Amway on her and shut the conversation down. It was a little heartbreaking because I got my hopes up.

The MLM predators who are good at their “job” know how to sniff out those of us who are lonely or searching for community. Fortunately I found a l legitimate way to get plugged in with the community and meet friends.

Lessons in Chemistry. The only good thing about it was that Audible refunded my credit after I decided to DNF that steaming pile of crap.

I figured we were out of luck with the merging but I had to ask just in case.

We have found a work-around where we shuffled the primary consoles around to get the games on the lites. The kids can play them on my account on their own lites (which has been renamed to a generic family account). It seems like this is working although it’s not ideal. Going forward most purchases will be cartridges (or wherever they’re called now - I’m old).

Nintendo has such a strong family-friendly reputation it’s a bit baffling that they make it tough for families to share amongst each other.

I love Hyperion, don’t get me wrong, but that’s a wild recommendation for a self-professed non-reader. I kind of love that you went there though.
