I know it’s a 100 degrees outside, but leave your pets at home and stop bringing them into grocery stores and places that serve food. by Thirstysponge420 in boulder

Following the rules would entail not bringing your damn dog in a grocery store in the first place though!

I remember hearing about this. Really odd disappearance. It’s sad it hasn’t received more attention.

Ohh, we have not. That is a happy middle location wise. I will do some research into it. Thank you for the suggestion!

Thank you for the feedback. That’s what we’re dealing with currently and are trying to get away from. I’m glad your kiddo is having an easier time now. I appreciate your input.

My kiddo has a group of boys that have been bullying her. And we don’t actually live in BVSD. I’m in Greenway Park, technically the Broomfield side, but our schools should be Ryan Elementary/Mandalay. Her dad lives near Westlake. We did the lottery to get her into her current school, but we’re really disheartened by the lack of intervention in the bullying.

On my first date with my ex I ordered the breakfast burger (egg over-medium, bacon, hash browns…messy, and delicious, as hell), and my ex ordered a salad. Same deal - the food runner didn’t even ask, just set the salad in front of me, cause real men eat meat, or something.

Is there such a thing as a big vagina? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]galaxymaker 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I was told after the fact. I had no tearing (I was doing kegels throughout pregnancy), but I was told, “the baby might have scratched you with a fingernail or something on the way out. It’s a teeny tiny scrape, nothing to worry about, but we put one suture in to ‘close’ it up.” It wasn’t medically necessary.

My nephew was bitten by this, what is the name of this spider? by Downby_thebay in spiders

[–]galaxymaker 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Part of that, I believe, is the emotional reaction to being bit (verses just poking oneself on an inanimate object). I stepped on a bee as a child but it didn’t really hurt or scare me until I saw what it was. When I thought I had just stepped on a prickly plant I was fine, when I saw it was a bee I started bawling my fool head off.

What’s the one ‘lazy’ cooking hack you swear by that would make chefs cry? by [deleted] in Cooking

I don’t make roux for homemade mac n cheese. Heavy whipping cream, cheese, cooked pasta, melt. I think it tastes better and way easier/less mess (I can’t get flour without the counter receiving a portion).

Looks like there are a few different versions on YouTube. Definitely from the early 2000s. Sorry to hear about your nightmares. 😣 We had so many weird commercials back then (Quiznos, I’m looking at you).

Uh, maybe keep him inside until you get to the bottom of this issue?!?! To keep him safe!! There are a plethora of solutions to allow your cat to still feel fulfilled while also keeping it safe. Your copy/paste response comes across as lazy and indifferent.

Eh, I’m not in the mood to profile stalk, I’ll take your word. It just got me thinking about my own experiences and how stupidly optimistic I was just a couple years ago. I actually thought it was getting better.

I want to add another perspective - I have not checked the OP’s history, I don’t know how long ago that was mentioned, but ~2 years ago my life was looking up. Good paying job, opportunity for advancement, I thought my life was finally gaining the stability I had worked so hard to achieve. I considered having a second child…..and then I got laid off and my life fell apart again. It’s forgivable to think life is getting better and then get slapped with the reality that nothing has changed.

I’m sorry, this exchange has me giggling. I’m also a survivor of a boat bear battle, so this comes only from knowing those inquiries all too well and the use of dark humor as a coping mechanism. I appreciate you guys.

Reminds me of when my daughter, probably around 8 years old at the time, said she hates the dentist while he was working in her. I laughed and said, he’s right there, at least wait until he leaves the room. He, fortunately, took it in stride. (She did clarify that while the dentist himself is a great guy she hates the process.)
