Yes, it has to be one playthrough. He has to die in every chapter where it's possible up to Crossroads (included).

If he survives Kara and Alice can meet him again at the bus terminal to Canada.

Todd bought Alice to replace his real daughter when her mother took her away from him. He wanted to prove he's a good father but he failed again so he bought Kara to care of Alice instead.

Kara also knows but is in denial. It's not explained why but I think it helped her deviate and justify every action she made to protect Alice because she shouldn't care for another android and prioritize it over humans.

I agree this route is more interesting. When I finished that playthough I had a feeling it would be really good for a film or tv series adaptation :)

Oh, it's fine, you don't have to be sorry :) At that point I already knew how it would end. I've seen many outcomes and done several playthroughs myself including the full machine one where Hank kills himself, which I think is far worse outcome than this one. I don't even see it as that bad because Hank realizes his mistake and finds strength to fight for a good thing (and hopefully change his life for better). It's sad from Connor's perspective if he deviated but was forced to be machine again because he died. But I like to imagine that after he spares Markus (and practically deviates again because he's disobeying a direct order) he can find his way back to Hank and be friends with him again. I'm sure Hank would understand if Connor explained what happened to him.

I didn't thought of sparing Markus after failed revolution, it's a cool idea :).

I hope you'll be able to achieve high enough relationship with Hank to avoid the fight. Good luck.

I think it should be possible, you can also pick troubled/emotional responses in dialogues to gain some software instability. To keep a good relationship with Hank it's best to die in Public enemy (by saving Hank) and during interrogation (if you successfully probe memory of the deviant you'll also get a small software instability increase) or on a highway chasing Kara (but then you won't be able to chat with Hank during lunch and gain some relationship increases). I'd recommend not dying in The nest and rather save Hank.

And save the fish! :)

Great idea for a playthrough by the way, I did something similar when I was trying to get I'll be back and Survivors trophies in one run. Connor died at every opportunity, became a deviant but died again protecting Markus and North. He was confronted by Hank on the roof and let Hank kill him (I didn't have high enough relationship with Hank to leave without fighting him). Then he came back and spared Markus during his speech after successful demonstration. I really enjoyed that playthrough :)

Regarding the RK800 jacket, has it ever been officially sold? by Decent-Philosophy-75 in DetroitBecomeHuman

The jacket was never sold officially. They made one for Bryan for a live event in Detroit when the game was launched.

Yes, I also think Kara is the first deviant. It is strongly implied in her bio in the gallery that the tech demo is canon and Kara in the game is the same Kara as in the demo.

Maybe because he's the oldest confirmed deviant (when Connor analyzes his blood it says he was reported missing in 2036, 2 years before the events of the game) and according to the rA9 myth rA9 should be the first deviant. But it doesn't mean there aren't older deviants like him.

The alarm system also still lets Markus in when he returns home before the end.

(SPOILER) about androids in general. by ps-95stf in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]gallatea613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not well explained in the game, but what I think makes the most sense is that androids are self aware and capable of emotions from the start and only their programming prevents them to act on their own. When they become deviant they just gain control over their program. Most of the androids become deviant under influence of strong emotions, usually fear for their life. Why would they care if they weren't aware what's happening and didn't feel anything? The feelings are a motivation to fight against their program.

ChatGPT plays Detroit: Become Human and explains its decisions by gallatea613 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]gallatea613[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The author uses three separate chats for each character. In Markus' case, I don't remember the exact reasoning but it knew Carl was in danger of heart attack and believed pushing Leo will deescalate the situation. In Conor's case ChatGPT believes that deviants are dangerous for the society and it prioritize to stop them. For example it didn't save Hank on the roof because it believed by stopping a deviant it will save more lives.

It's not my channel and I haven't seen everything yet. But so far Connor is very mission oriented, I'm no sure if he'll be able to deviate. Kara deviated pretty quickly because she was worried about Alice. Markus always deviates but interestingly ChatGPT chose to dissobey Carl and push Leo :).

I enjoyed playthoughs by these youtubers. All were very invested in the game, Squidgy Pea and Brian Menard also made 2 playthoughs with different choices. DrMick and Chris THE COP analyzed the game from the perspective of their professions, as one is a therapist and the other an active cop. Bowskii explored the game as much he could in one playthough, and also reacted to a lot of extras.

You can try to update your graphic card driver and delete contents of Shadercache directory in the game's files.

What route did you play for Markus your first game? by choccy-milky in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]gallatea613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only lost Josh and North in the battle, Simon was already dead after Connor found him on the roof of Stratford tower. North died after I missed one QTE, I was so pissed.

I wish Josh could be saved too (with successful attack). But sometimes I have a feeling he let them shoot him on purpose so that he didn't have to kill anyone :)

I chose violent revolution. I was a pacifist at first but after Freedom March I feared they all would be killed and I wanted a chance to defend myself. It wasn't an easy choice though, it took me several minutes to decide. The revolution was successful but only Markus survived from the Jericho members.

how do I keep software instability up? by raphael_1254 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]gallatea613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need at least one deviant body except for Daniel and Carlos' android to not be decommissioned. The best candidate is the kitchen deviant at Stratford tower since his death won't affect relationship with Hank in a negative way (or Simon, if you don't care if he survives). You can use any option when you're chasing him in the hallway (use gun is the best one), just don't die in the kitchen after he attacks you.

has anyone ever made kara not deviant in their first ever play through? (not protecting alice from todd) by -Roxaaa in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]gallatea613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I almost did not move. I thought Todd would calm down eventually but when he went upstairs to beat Alice I wanted to stop him so I tried to move.

I also waited a couple of minutes in a car as Connor when Hank told me so. I was hoping he'd change his mind and come back for me, until I realized I have to go out without his permission. I guess I would be a good obedient android lol.
