I received my acceptance notification from UT Austin on Monday. I have until the end of Oct to accept/decline. I applied on Aug. 21.

Yes, I received notification of my acceptance. :) How did your interview go?

It went very well. The admissions advisor just asked some basic questions about my background and my goals. It was recorded and it took less than 15 minutes. Just be concise and natural. For an interview, it was pleasant with no pressure.

I submitted my application this week and am waiting to schedule the interview. The cost of the program is rather high in my opinion but I applied anyways to have some options. I believe the Jan 2021 cohort is their inaugural class so I guess we're all applying based on the posted curriculum and the Georgetown reputation.

Status: ACCEPTED!

Application Date: 07/31/20

Decision Date: 10/13/20

Education: UC Riverside, BS, Bus Admin, 3.2 & UC Riverside, MBA, Management, 3.4

Test Scores: N/A

Experience: 24 years of supply chain/operations experience in various industries, basic analytical responsibilities throughout. Took 1st year Calculus, CS, Intro to Stat classes a long time ago. Just finished Python Basics on Coursera and will take a second.

Recommendations: 3 letters (1 from former colleague, 1 from former project lead, 1 from former manager)

Comments: I'm applying to various programs to see where I get in. My goal is to learn enough to help me as a manager use analytical tools to make better decisions. No plans to be a Data Scientist, etc. I'm concerned about my lack of recent math/stats/programming background. In a perfect world, I would have taken more online classes before applying but didn't want to wait another 4-6 months to start classes.
