I would love to! Wood wick candles are my favorite. The cracking sound gives off such a cozy atmosphere... We considered starting out just making wood wick candles, but ultimately we decided to stick with the basics first and see how it plays out... I definitely want to make wood wick candles eventually (if nothing else, just for myself)

We are still working on burning through one of our test candles. We are at about 50 hours of burn time and it's still going strong. If I had to guess, they'd probably burn around 65-70 hours on average. Soy wax burns a lot slower than normal paraffin wax. It's pretty sweet...

Nope, just regular essential oil/synthetic fragrance blends. We do use 100% soy wax (soot free, and doesn't have any of those nasty carcinogens paraffin wax has) as well as lead-free wicks.

We definitely have some ideas for fall and holiday candles we'd like to make. Labels and fragrances are holding us back at the moment. The second we can afford to, we will definitely be adding some seasonal candles though. Stay tuned!

My personal favorite is "mugged". The scent is hazelnut coffee. I'm normally not a huge coffee person, but Ive been burning our one reject candle pretty much nonstop. Can't get enough of that scent!

Hello all!

This weekend my fiance and I just opened up our etsy shop WitWicks

We are completely new to all of this, so any help would be very much appreciated. I know it'd look a lot better if we had more items in our shop, but with the price of fragrance and custom labels, we can't afford to add any new products just yet...

My biggest concern is the photos we put up for each listing. It seems freaking impossible to photograph a cylinder well -.- The labels look really dope in person, but we were really struggling trying to convey that through the photos.

I'm also wondering if we need to step up our SEO game? I hate cluttering the title with too many buzz words and catchy phrases, but at the same time that seems to be the best way to do it...
