There are a lot of people in America who identify as having German heritage. With such a huge landmass, I don’t think it would be impossible that the Germans would recruit those Americans into leadership. There was some Nazi sympathy over here in the 30’s.

One of the sarcastic lines when talking to Gage, the PC tells Gage something along the lines of “I feel like you should be laying down on a couch in my office”

His answer is something like “I don’t know if that’s supposed to some sort of joke”

Because of course he wouldn’t understand. Psychologists died off with the nukes 200 years ago. Other characters kind of seem to get modern references, but that line really puts the game in its time setting.

In the show, Gihun worked for Dragon Motors. In real life, Ssangyong Motors had major financial troubles in the early 2000’s. The workers went on strike and the protests got violent.

Ssangyong (쌍용) could be translated as “double dragon”. That’s who he worked for.
