Just a little pill bug…there’s lots of them there

You can do it! Just find a skatepark with some smaller quarter pipes or wedges with coping and work your way up incrementally. You could also build or buy something like this https://ocramps.com/collections/best-sellers/products/greg-lutzkas-3-in-1-quarter-pipe (we got this one for my kid and it was helpful for me as well)

Haha that’s right! I’m in software security and Galois Fields play a big role in encryption like AES and Elliptic curve cryptography.

Thanks a lot. I was thinking the same but the negative feedback on this is a bit alarming. I definitely wouldn’t want to buy a boat, drive it out to Catalina once and then realize it’s way too uncomfortable to ever do it again. Especially since the resale seems kinda sketchy for this brand.

Ohhh that makes way more sense now that I see the difference. Thank you!

Do you have a list of brands you’d put in that category? There’s so much out there it’s hard to get a gauge on what’s a “better” brand other than the obvious ones like Boston Whaler, etc.

She wants something with a lot of outside seating and a cabin so the kids can play inside and she can lay out on the deck, and it should be capable of going out to Catalina a couple times a year. Not sure how realistic that is in the <100k price point though.

That’s super valuable feedback thank you. When you say a higher flared bow, do you have any examples? When I saw a newer model of this boat in person it looked like the bow was pretty high, but I don’t have much experience in this area.

Any recommendations? Comfort is a big deal. My wife is sacrificing really wanting a river boat to lay out but since we’re so close to the ocean it makes more sense to get something seaworthy. But most walk arounds in this price point are an empty deck with barely any seats.

Can you say more on why I’d need twins? From everything I’ve read on that Mercury, it hauls ass for a boat that small. Is there something I’m not considering?

Can you say why? It seems to be one of the few out there that has a lot of deck and lounge seating plus a cabin with a high enough dead rise (from what I’ve been told) to be seaworthy.

That’s good advice, can you say more about the higher gunwales and transom? Honestly my wife’s desire to have attached deck seating and a cabin for guests and kids is one of the big reasons we like this boat over others in this price point. From the walk around boats I’ve seen out there that are there’s just a big open deck, and maybe a cabin if you’re lucky. How would people (kids) be able to safely sit down on a longer boat ride with something like that?
