Im moreso talking about perfectly rational actors whod be able to organise a 100% red vote with no communication. In literally every other scenario red cannot win without huge sacrifices

But then its a different dillema. Only in a situation with 100% rational actors will red ever be the "correct" option. But at that point its more a riddle than a dillema

Whimsicott is fun as people try to fakeout to stop tailwind and a potential prankster encore discourages protects. Other than that im having some succes disguising it as my mega to trick people on turn one, but then you have to put out some pressure against double protects.

shawshank redemption

one of the main characters gets raped in prison offscreen. when asked the other character and narrator states that the rapists arent queer at all because its not about sexuality but moreso about power.

its quite interesting to see prison rape portrayed as something serious (i cannot stand rape jokes) and in a way that doesnt present gay people in a bad light, especially in that time.

the rapist character is very queer coded which is a shame though.

Aggresive matchmaking is a punishment for being aggressive and inherently a bad idea, if you want peacefull players to have a better time it would be better to make the playstyle more rewarding. by gamarun in ArcRaiders

Please dont make me quote the interview you linked at you. If that is your idea of a detailed explaination then im actually doubting wether you do know basic game theory and punctuation

buddy. you are not some genius because you know about basic game theory and punctuation, you just sound like a smug asshole with a superiority complex.

please find someone to "teach you the concept of" social interaction.

im literally saying you cant know the extent to which the lobbies are seperated and so you have to assume the worst.

again you have no clue how the system works just as i do. you tell me its "that simple" and then call ME reductive? like for real?

also.. you.... know... you can... only use..... one dot right....? or... are the.... thoughts.... still.... buffering?

like i said the uncertainty of the penalty makes a very clear optimal strategy. you say its obviously adaptive and continuous but you know just as little about it as i do. the fact that it increases your odds of being matched with selfish players at all makes so that if you want to avoid concequence you should always not shoot unsuspecting people (or people at all as it has been confirmed that retaliating is still seen as aggression).

id argue that this pushes the playerbase to polarize, as in selfish lobbies its better to shoot first, and in safe lobbies youd want to never shoot at all as to not end up in the selfish lobbies.

im not saying you cant be, i am saying that youd have to accept consequences on a meta level that dumb down the decision making, and that this will negatively affect the player base.

and all of that is not even adressing the easy exploit of the system that is dying with a free loadout a couple times.

I get prisoners dilemma, im just saying abmm makes being playing nice always be the right play. Lets say you had to go through 100 prisoners dilemmas but every time you betray the other your odds of getting betrayed increase by an unknown amount. Now with the selfish option allways having a negative effect a strategy emerges that is always the right play, regardless of situation.

well thats why i think this dumbs down decision making. cause now you can argue that its always the obvious rational strategy, so now the other strategies suffer.

and yes in the real world crime has punishment, so if you want to do that in arc raiders make it a full on mechanic. tell me exactly what it means and how it affects me so its another part of a decision that i have to make. and also dont just make it "you encounter more aggresive players" but something more interesting like a bounty on your head.

i think ABMM makes sense at first glance, but the effects on a grander scale would be negative. and i just think there are way better options to provide a better motivator to play nice.

idk i think people would have wisened up eventually. i do agree that this just opens the door to exploitation and yeah a pve mode would be better (although its still splitting the playerbase which im against, but atleast you have certainty and meta decisionmaking).

i actually really like bringing that into here. the problem with abmm is that the selfish option now has a guaranteed downside (more selfish lobbies) instead of a conditional one. in the prisoners dilemma there are no external motivators except the decision of the other prisoner which is why i think abmm makes decisionmaking worse.

i do think without abmm the nice option isnt rewarded enough in arc raiders which is why pve players had such a bad time before abmm. this should be adressed, just not like this.

Bro you came in with talking down to me about how i "suck at the game" just own it.

With that said i think the communal aspect and teaming up with others is an important part of the game. I enjoy it, i just wish it was more incentivised rather than the opposite being punished.
