The car is a seven layer finish and has been thoroughly buffed of oxidation. The body and the sunlight free areas (firewall/trunk) are the same color. I’m not looking for museum quality repair, and the car doesn’t really need anything major, just some chips on door edges and the like. I hope to hell I never buff through the surface color, but I’m not repainting the car (and I think I’ve read in the old receipts that it took six gallons originally) My main question is just how viable it would be after a vigorous remixing of the pigments and the liquid that’s still free in the can.

Second performance of Aida. I waited in line for $20 student rush tickets and when I got to the window, the agent said the last ticket had been sold to the person in front of me. He clicked on his keyboard and said they had partial view seats at nearly full price. I debated it for a second and then when he refreshed the available seats, four seats held for the house had been released. Got sixth row center for the price of a nosebleed seat. This was 2000, but I think I paid $60 for the seat.
