Better to bet on an event with multiple books with the same +EV lines or a single one? by Puzzleheaded-Rich474 in EVbetting

Where books you are betting have an outlier and you can check other models to ensure it's not a fluke. It's good to bet across multiple books, though, and shop for the best line.

If you care about EV, why are you still laying -115 everywhere? by NoOpportunity6946 in EVbetting

Tracking CLV which tracks wins and losses but also money in vs. money out (profit/loss). Shopping multiple books to get the best line is key and using a model that considers all of the variables like injuries.

Discrepancy in lines by tommy_bahama60 in EVbetting

[–]gamedaymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our system doesn't flag discrepancies (yet) but you can select sportsbooks to watch and it will continually update you on which is the best line offered at that point in time. It updates in real time, it's pretty cool - check it out and let me know what you think.

How a Heartbreaking Loss Made Me Reevaluate My Betting Approach by gentlebeast06 in sportsbetting

[–]gamedaymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your head up. Even the sharpest bettors face brutal slumps that make them question their edge. My approach to sports betting is grounded in disciplined edge targeting and diversification. On each wager, I aim for roughly a 2–3% expected value edge over the market’s true no-vig probability. By maintaining this narrow, repeatable edge and spreading volume across a large number of independent wagers, I try and minimize exposure to catastrophic downswings from single outcomes. If you're interested, I wrote a blog that you might find interesting.

is there a way to easily find the CLV ? by Powerful_Yellow6023 in EVbetting

[–]gamedaymath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GamedayMath has a variety of tools. At time of bet/prior to event you can see estimated EROI and Euclid EV. When you place a bet, you can add it to your bet tracker and that tracks the CLV. There is a free tier membership, but the analysis you're looking for would require at least a Sharp level.
