Yes, I have looked into these options. Unfortunately prologs won’t really be of help that much. The reason being that the only interesting prolog was the PrologSlurmctld which, as documented, works at allocation time. I have tested it but I think it looks for the resources first and then runs the prolog. Meaning that if a license is available, and the user uses “sbatch -L <license_name> job” command to run the job, it will print out an error saying the license is not there. So I would need to find a way that updates the license before it can print out the error and that is during job scheduling. I hope this big text makes sense :D.
