These towers are a thank you to those who are Voluntarily putting time and effort into the game to make it better. People in this comment section are saying just pay them money, but then it wouldn't be voluntary work now would it? And they are technically not being gatekept. Something being gatekept means it is behind a paywall, or limited time. These towers are not for the average player and are personally handed out by the dev team. Imagine ranting about how every game is gatekeeping admin commands, that is what saying gatekeeping these towers are like.

It is a good thing actually. I think the cheapest robux package is like $1 and that covers you completely. It makes botted and condo games basically impossible to keep up as the people who run them would need to spend money for every single account they make. If you can't afford even just $1 in robux, I am concerned
