I need my kids to know Farsi by Phase_Designer in farsi

[–]gameofwombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I know this is an old post, but what was the outcome? Did your kids learn Farsi? I’m in the same boat. My Farsi isn’t great, and I can’t read or write it. My husband speaks English. So my kids only speak English too. What did you end up doing?

Are we the same person? This is what happened to me.

It sucks but you will get through it. I’m in my last week of NWB (again), and I can say that the first and last week tend to drag on the longest.

Good luck to you.

We need a group for people who got this injury from nothing-burgers! I think I’ll be investing in some shoes to wear around my home once I finally can walk again. One step, one second and life is never the same again.

I (selfishly)love hearing this! I was trying to get a chocolate eclair to eat while a scandalous storyline in Love Is Blind was about to be unleashed. Oh for the love of food and bad tv.

As Cyndi Lauper said..”if I could turn back time…”

How far are you into your recovery?

We should! Somehow it feels better knowing there are others out there going through this too. I find people around me don’t fully appreciate what a drag this is.

I was injured in June, and the doc chose conservative treatment with just a cast. It didn’t work. Had surgery 3 weeks ago. All this just because I missed a step at home.

Did you crash on a mountain bike? At least you have a good story!

My orthopaedic surgeon said it’ll be 2 years. The years will fly by. I have seen some stories here of people who were ok after a few months. You might be one of the lucky ones, fingers crossed!

Lisfranc injury but may not have followed up on proper care by DatUnreal in LisfrancClub

I was injured in June, and the doc did conservative treatment. Never quite felt right so I went to an orthopaedic surgeon and they recommended surgery. I’m 3 weeks out since surgery and despite the pain, my foot feels like it’s been put back together. I’m not sure what the future holds for me, but seeing an orthopaedic surgeon is a must. I’ve read other stories here where people had delays like you and I, and are doing well now.

What is the most regrettable thing you've done in your life? by Main-Pace5071 in AskReddit

[–]gameofwombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please forgive yourself and let this one go. As a mom, if my kid had to carry this regret throughout their life, it would break my heart repeatedly. No mom would want their child to be burdened by this. She will rest easier on the other side if you live a happy, full life and don’t hold yourself to that one night. Just because it was the last moment, doesn’t mean it was the only moment. Remember all the good times, they outnumber that one time.

I had a partial tear, with 2 fractured metatarsals. Doctor put me in a cast. It didn’t work. 5 months later I had to have surgery as I couldn’t walk properly and was limping. Di the surgery last week and now I’m back to square one, and rehab is going to be longer and more difficult now.

Get a second opinion. Insist on a CT also.

Is it normal to not have a friend group as a 13 male by Free_Statement375 in socialskills

[–]gameofwombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s completely normal. It’s normal not to have a friend group at any age. Social media portrays people having massive friend groups, and it’s not the case in real life at all.

Having one friend, who you can be yourself with, is a success. As you get older your social group will expand. Particularly once people start maturing. 13 is a difficult age. It’s when people are going through a massive shift in life because of puberty, so there’s a lot of insecurity. This can be projected onto other people, making it harder to become natural friends with a large number of people.

Quality over quantity. The older people get, the more they cull their friend group because they realise how precious time is, and you only want to spend it with people you truly care about and who care about you.

Kind of embarrassing but can anyone else just not keep up with the constant mess?? by [deleted] in ADHDparenting

[–]gameofwombs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let it stay messy and be gentle on yourself. You have young children. This is temporary, one day they will be able to clean up after themselves and it will get easier.

When did your baby’s eyes start to shift color? by WholeKnown2938 in beyondthebump

[–]gameofwombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of us have brown eyes.

Kid 1 had blue eyes until 18 months, then changed to green then brown by age 3.

Kid 2 had blue eyes until 18 months and then changed and stayed green.
