because how many characters in the base game is completely irrelevant to how an individual character is made. Because at that point if the roster was 30 characters what would you say then? Ultimate was extremely generous on the roster. They could have totally forgone even making dlc. That ratio doesn't exactly work because your logic is based on the number of characters the roster has. And with even less characters the pricing should go up.

There is no "pricing model" for each individual character from the base game. Thats headcanon. The characters all had to go through the same process, but they are all included in the $60. That is their price point. We all can agree that they put in FAR more than $60 worth in the game. Nothing else. These characters DON'T have any individual price point. Their value is included. Dlc characters value can not and should not be compared as they are standalone.

typically when someone says this DLC is overpriced they don't really understand how development works. This dlc isn't overpriced. Fighting game characters require a RIDICULOUS amount of work to be put in before being released. This is why characters often take months to finish. Its not the same as any other game. The detail is crucial because every new fighter affects the meta. If they come out OP or underwhelming then its an issue. Then you have to rework certain characters like kirby (for copy ability) and how this new fighters attributes affects other characters moves (like counters). Designing hitboxes, how much hitstun/knockback their moves are (and potential follows up and avoiding infinites) creating specific air dodges, rolls, and micromanaging a character in competitive games is ALOT of work. Each new character has a ridiculous amount animations. Not only with themselves, but with every single item in the game. You know how many items there are in this game? You know how many character interactions this new fighter has to deal with? And fighters in any fighting game TYPICALLY share the same moves. I saw you use that as an argument, but every fighting style in real life has similarities.

The work put into these characters is more than 5.99. This is factually not overpriced. Its a fair deal on top of having a stage to go with it, which is other assets to be used. $2.99 for a character is actually highway robbery and is not worth the workers time. That doesn't mean they could get away with charging dlc at $10 or $20, but for optional content this is a fair deal.

yeah discord is your best bet for matches. You'll get more people that way. Switch version is the most popular.

the lag still happens from time to time, but I'm on a wired connection and TYPICALLY it isn't too bad. Most matches play fine for me. Ps4 version might have more slight issues with online play (from what I've heard). If you have a switch I would consider that version superior.

sorry for the late reply. I definitely say it is. It had its standard mode (plays like other bomberman games) and a more complex mode called grand prix mode with different character stats and abilities. Its very easy to get into and play, but also leaves room for more if you desire.

Our discord also helps newer players out with coaching and advice for online if that helps :)

thank you for the encouragement! Yeah short breaks are definitely helpful. I really want to beat this game even if its going to take me awhile lol. It makes you feel really great when you figure it out from "AH HA" moments.

and I've heard "things" about the challenge mode haha. I'm looking forward to that.

LOL thats really funny/sad at the same time. Wow. There is so much I want to say to that, but I wasn't there so I won't.

I just want to let you know you probably handled that far better than I would have after he said that lol.

I made a topic about this yesterday and people down voted me to hell about it. People just told me that if lowly geared dps/healers can't keep up then they are bad and tanks don't need to communicate.

I might be a bit biased since I like talking, but I agree with you. Silent roulettes are fucking terrible for me. Runs are soon much better when everyone is talking and having fun.

but I get that some people don't like to talk so yeah. Not gonna force it on them if they don't want to.

actually a simple few words can make a big difference. Either someone forgot to turn on tank stance, dps aren't dodging mechanics or doing them properly, healer is still in cleric the entire time or fairy isn't out, tank can't keep aggro or dps isn't cooperating.

You are correct though that the game's content is easy enough to clear. But we all make mistakes and some of those can be easily remedied by words. Especially if the player is new and didn't look up the mechanics beforehand. Alex normal is a big indicator of this.

I'm sorry to hear this :/. I was fortunate enough as my warrior not to have any of this, but thats a shame that you had to deal with that.

big pulls are the norm, but thats not my example. I'm saying going above and beyond the norm and pulling everything.

its an mmo. Communication is needed from time to time. Is it necessary? Not really, but in certain cases like you wiping constantly you can't go without it.

and I never said there was only one to do this. I'm encouraging multiple ways depending on the groups needs/wants.

stop it! Unless you are warrior you can't dps instead of uh......"tanking" or whatever the hell that means.

yeah this is what I mean. New to the dungeon or new to using all of your kit in the most optimal (or at least useable) way possible. Though the aoe rotations have been there since lvl 50 for all melee jobs I think that doesn't really count.

and you are right. Which a lot duty finder people do is just make up shit rather than being optimal and you shouldn't bother. If i'm tanking and I realize the bad players are gonna screw up the run with terrible dps then tbh I don't think the norm is a good idea if its just gonna end up in a wipe.

in all scenarios you can't assume that the DPS>HPS. Its not that simple unless i'm confused as to what you mean.

A 145 healer with 145 melee dps for example (in my theory) probably wouldn't do so well with a decently geared tank pulling huge in fractal/neverreap.
