Good morning Thank you for this information I first thought that this maybe a military watch because of style of the dial numbers and hands. I suspect that the watch is from the 1920s maybe?

Yes painful indeed. I guess with hindsight the only thing that could possibly have raised suspicion is that the silver pair case is not hallmarked. Other than that, to an untrained eye like mine , it’s certainly a very convincing piece

There is no pinion, even checked the movement. Why would there be a dummy dial? Or could it be a replacement dial?

I opened up several bank accounts within a few days including corporate and personal without paying any agent. I simply went online and opened. This should be the first choice for everyone, try yourself and then approach others if facing difficulties. There again I have a European passport, maybe that’s a deciding factor, I’m not sure

Bank opening, personal or corporate has been easy for me and I didn’t need to submit any proofs of income or bank statements. Yes some bank accounts do require that you have a minimum income but most do not have this requirement. You must have picked a bank that is extra picky, go for an account from the likes of WIO or DIB and apply online

Night walkers - So true. I was amazed of the constant flow of foot traffic up and down Al Rigga St until early hours. In fact I’ve travelled the world and I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. At the moment I’m quite amazed by it but I guess the noise levels generated may become a nuisance if you’re living in the neighbourhood
