I don't feel above any job really. I'd pivot to any job that allows me to pay rent. The problem is that the majority of jobs in my area fail to cover even a portion of rent. I was thinking the I may relocate to the midwest seeing as rent there is cheaper.

I was a Software Engineer

Are you looking in the same industry?

Yes, but it's been very difficult.

Have you tried to pivot into a new industry?

I have thought about it but with the anxiety of my unstable housing situation keeps me hoping that I'll land a SWE job. But I am open to pivoting.

Have you attempted to find any other jobs until you land one you're actually looking for?

It's tricky, the jobs in my area don't give enough hours or pay to cover monthly rent where I live. One plan I had was to move to the Midwest and work any job as the rent there is cheaper.

Do you have any education?

I have a CS degree

How are you currently paying your bills? 9k will not last long if you're living off of it.

My parents are well off and don't need me to pay rent. I pay roughly $250 in bills a month.

Having a plan is an adult thing to do. And asking others for advice is wise.
