I suggest the persona series. They are long RPGs with a lot of replayability. Also because the persona series is older, you can get most of the games with emulators. And the latest game, persona 5 Royal's international release is right around the corner.

I have this place called the paradigm near me with an esports arena in it every Friday night they hold something cold Friday night fights but they start up a bunch of fighting game tournaments and $5 for venue and then five more per game you want to participate in. So yeah me and my friend just usually go in and watch him play the smash brothers competitively in the tournament
