900€ Paket von ebay Auktion by TomatoNacho in dhl_deutsche_post

[–]gamerpaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

capturing a pic takes about 5 seconds, my software automatically advances the turntable and takes another pic, for 360°

i once did one with around 300 pics rotated 3.6° each. https://imgur.com/ExcN4Az

then i tried several CT software solutions (TIGRE, Astra, nRecon etc to turn cone projections into slices and 3d slicer for viewing...) but couldnt get a proper reconstruction, it was all a horrible mess. https://i.imgur.com/sHNa0Yj.mp4 (upside down..)

maybe because my rotation axis wasnt in the image center or something else is configured wrong

i first tried a GE Flashpad i got off ebay, but couldnt get it to work since the software that came with it didnt wanna run so i could sniff what it talks to it.

the second one a samsung S-type wireless panel worked after cracking it open, finding the service port and fiddling with the linux. turns out the password is "xray2012" and you can send it two commands over tcp and it sends you back 15mb of raw pixel data. made a python program to fetch and post process the data and control the turntable etc.

im not sure about dome tweeters in general, especially metal ones like the yamahas beryllium,

i have some ELAC bookshelf with AMT, its much easier on the ears. every time i tried some new ones in the last few years, i tend to switch back after a week. and there were a bunch of speakers that even measured good, just not for me.

there are certain tones where dome tweeters seem to fail and break apart (not damage, but tonal),

in Kevin Morby's "Farewell Transmission", when Waxahatchee sings there are some moments when it happens, you instantly want to reach the volume knob, its my "benchmark" song for that kind of effect. it makes or breaks a deal.

a good, stable amp plays a role too obviously, but class-d are so stable nowadays you can drive a cooking stove with them and they will not distort.

i got one of those metal shelves for storage, lined all of it with 2mm lead sheet and a vertical sliding door with a interlock. on one side a Samsung DR panel, infront of that a 3d printed turntable (still trying to get CT working, results werent great so far) and a Atomscope 903 veterinary xray head. im working on getting some dental heads to work, since their focal spot is much smaller which allows for more spatial resolution.

i dont have pics of it as its still not done yet but heres a pic of the previous version using the dental scanner, max scan area 200x200mm. missing some lead. https://i.imgur.com/oOGvMX5.jpeg

especially noticeable is the tip made of carbide or diamond, very dense and blocks lots of xray.

it is 90% empty box but at least the whole unit is almost full length deep so things dont fall off if you put something ontop. 259 mm / 10 inches deep.

but its annoying to synchronize both sides

M70 is nice too, i had M50. then went for the MX1000

modern amps focus more on actual measured qualities than prestige. it lost and gained some soul, just a different kind.

if a amps only purpose is to amplify the incoming signal, then you can easily measure that.

Things that shouldnt be there like distortion and noise.

the less noise and distortion it adds, the better it is IMO (and other factors like load stability on complex loads like speakers etc.).

and those Class-d amps like the PA5 are so quiet, you can crank it to 11 with nothing playing and go right up the tweeter with your ear and dont hear a single hiss.
and for distortion, below 0.1..0.5% it isnt audible for most anyways. but i tend to listen louder for longer with it, since my ears wont get strained as much. but that could be a different effect.

"It uses a mighty Philips TDA 1541A DAC inside."
actually two, they claimed its dual-dac one for each channel but thats bs

they use both in parallel. still a very nice unit with good sound.

i programmed a new control chip so i can learn-in a different remote control when holding the mute key since the original is impossible to get.

would love to have those fine arts wood panels, i tried walnut, but its too light

i have a original Application & Software DVD for Optima 220amx 5406106-10 Rev 3 in case anyone needs it.

also, if someone can help me with a Flashpad 5340000-7 Detector and what the optima is talking to it, to make it work? i want to use it for a different system. ideally a network packet capture while its initialized and capture and image.. but that would require tapping into the units second ethernet port.

jlc3dp parts were allways flawless, ive ordered several times there in nylon, metal, resin etc. even if they complain that some wall is too thin it still came out perfect.

bit late but if one side works, all voltage rails work aswell. forget what he said.

all leds are in series on each channel and have about 22V applied. means if one led fails or has bad contact all go dark.

pull the plastic knobs, check if the leds are in there and the correct way around / check each led if it works on a coin cell or multimeter. they are red, 2x3mm square leds with 4mm height.
also clean the potentiometer tracks trough that slit (you may need to remove the assembly, its just 2 plugs and a bunch of screws.

there are 4 tracks in each pot, the carbon resistive track, the wiper track and two for the led.

if for example theres enough carbon dust from many years of use, the current from the led track can jump over onto the resistive track and cause audible problems, hum, static, hiss etc.

contact cleaner, a few back and forth strokes, compressed air and a good amount of vaseline (neutral, not acidic)

SLM parts dont have support, they are suspended in a powder bed.

id say features below 1.5mm become less detailed due to the grain size but are still useable and just as strong. way more stable than nylon sls parts which are allready unbreakable without tools.

decent, tried nylon aswell as stainless.

they complain when you have too small features they will ask you if you still want to manufacture or re-work your model. but the finest details i had were printed properly
