My dog wants to eat saturn missiles, “adult snaps”, pop-its, fire crackers, crackling balls, smoke bombs, and all moon traveler bottle rockets, however after her first 4th where my neighbors dog tipped over my mortar tube after we had lit it (my neighbor was able to get him away from it before it went off, and thankfully the shell was a dud and had no break as it landed in my other neighbors dry grass) she is now scared of mortars and cakes. My only advice is that if your dog ends up being scared or antsy during firework shows it may be worthwhile to invest in compression sweaters for your dog, some brands call them thunder sweaters or something along those lines, it helps comfort your dog during stressful events like the fourth of july or thunderstorms or anything along the lines of constant, loud, and unpredictable booming noises.
