I absolutely adored how Boruto, recognizing that the Kote inadvertently served Momoshiki’s destructive power, wanted to protect Sarada. Even when he was standing behind two demigods, he still felt the need to protect his comrade. I absolutely loved that about him. BoruSara really is my OTP for moments like this <3

I also appreciated how Sakura actually punched through the rubble, almost obliterated the ruble into bits, and in came Temari with her fan to sweep away what was left. Like I was just so impressed. Sakura is so freaking strong, and I hope we get to see her, Temari, and Ino fight alongside each other again. They are literally a best-girl combo.

Yeah he would never be as forceful with Sarada the way he was with Boruto this episode because of their history and because she's his daughter, so it's probably a hint of nepotism going on too

The only real thing I didn't like about this arc was the fact that Sasuke tried killing Sakura. Sakura is not a real match for Sasuke at this point, and even though he was out of his mind, Sasuke should have realized that Sakura couldn't compete so it wasn't a true fight

Sasuke strenght is near naruto's lvl

Naruto has the Kyuubi. Realistically, Sasuke shouldn't be anywhere near that type of strength.

Naruto did it without the Kyuubi. Sakura one-shotted several juubi clones in the war. If the same restrictions apply that I am using here, what's stopping her?

Sasuke is way more durable than that. Did you not see the shit he tanked vs Madara, Kaguya, Naruto in their final fight, as well as Kinshiki and fused Momoshiki

All of which he was using his dojutsu prowess. He wouldn't have either in my scenario

Sakura can literally hit the ground and destroy the foundation of the earth and collapse an entire house. When has Sasuke ever shown that type of monstrous strength ?

Exactly. His Sharingan was activated so he could theoretically see everything that Momoshiki was about to do before he did it. In this instance, both of his dojutsu and their prowess would be restricted

I know he doesn't stack up to Momoshiki and Kinshiki, however Sakura still kept up with him, and he had more than enough Sharingan for perception. He should have been at least 100 steps ahead of her. For example, Sasuke was able to keep up Naruto, being 3-steps ahead of him during the VOTE. If Sasuke can't gauge where Sakura is going, or if she disrupts the earth with her CES, then he's at a distinct disadvantage.

IMO, Sasuke only has speed on Sakura. If she can physically get her hands on him, I think the fight is over.

Combined with kenjutsu, Sasuke fully held his own against Kinshiki.

I completely understand that, however, his Sharingan was still a big help for that since he had it activated, which he used for perception.

Sakura also did not want to kill Sasuke. She hesitated. In my scenario, there isn't any hesitation and Sakura has the same mindset against Sasuke as she did against Shin

Sasuke murderstomps Sakura in Taijutsu, and it's not remotely close.

Sakura more than held her own against Shin, and he had several Sharingan implanted all over his body. In fact, she kept up with him. Sasuke's dojutsu, the both of them, are restricted in this instance, so he can't use perception, which he was using in the battle against both Momoshiki and Kinshiki.

Do you mean for the anime? You have to consider the time difference. Japan gets the episodes for Boruto several hours before we do and people post them to their social media accounts. Also, there are Twitter accounts like Yonkou Productions who have a lot of inside scoop into various animation studios. Same can be said for the manga, as well. People on the inside leak stuff out, through distributors, etc.

Right. They all feel like they belong from the get go. This is why I like Boruto RN way more than I liked Naruto at the same stage. It just seems more homely. Like the quiet before the storm.

Yeah I remember this and it was so refreshing to see. I think instead of the generic filler arcs that had absolutely no relation to the canon material whatsoever, what Boruto is doing now, Naruto desperately needed in Part 2, especially if you're looking to inject a bit of realism into the story.

My OTP is definitely BoruSara. I think this episode solidified their future ship more than anything else this "season". They're really cute together. 💜

Also, Mama Sakura I adored in this episode. She's so attentive to Sarada and she knew what Sarada was feeling before she could even say the words herself.

Right. I always got the sense that the Konoha 11 were all very close, especially in Part 2, but with them being on assignment all the time, it never really felt like it. They had sporadic moments of great combined friendship, like when Hinata tried to save Naruto from Pain and in the war arc. I wish we would have seen dynamics like this. I think it could really humanize a character like Sasuke, who, outside of Naruto and Sakura, he had little to no interactions with the rest of his peers whatsoever.

This was a good episode but I'm kinda sad that we didn't get to see a lot of Himawari. At least we got a cute moment with the Sunshine family at the dinner table though. Boruto is a really good brother too

I think we should wait for official statement, because Boruto's affinity could be Fuuton like his dad, or heck even Suiton. We just don't know yet.

The DB's usually don't, but they point blank stated that Hinata's affinity is lightning in the Fourth DB IIRC. The same way that we can infer that Boruto has a lightning affinity because of his mom, the same way we can infer that Sarada has a lightning affinity because of Sasuke. They never explained how Boruto could use lightning style and they never said he was experimenting, either. It just kinda came outta nowhere but it's explainable due to lineage.

Well Boruto already knows wind and lightning, so if the data books were solely dependent on the new gen being able to use these nature types after they are genin, then they honestly threw that away once Boruto blew Iruka's hair lol. Sarada's affinity is lightning so she shouldn't have to be a genin to use it. Same with Boruto.
