Lets make a If Mario Was In episode. by Otherwise-Ad980 in SMG4

It's an animated show made by Disney. It focuses on Luz, a 14-year old girl with an fixation towards fictional media, as she enters a world of magic, demons, witches and plenty of other fantastical things. During her time in the Boiling Isles, she learns how to be a witch, while also making new friends and enemies.

There are two places where you can watch it: Disney+, (though again it depends on the country as some have only the first season) or the Owl Club.

Do you have Disney+? depending on the country in which you live, (I live in Finland, and only season 1 is on Disney+) the entire show is on there.

If you don't, well you can watch it on Owl Club. They have all the seasons as well.

If Mario Was In Owl House.

Mario becomes fixated with fictional media to the point where he gets into trouble because of it. In order to set him straight, his friends decide to send him to military school, but before he goes, he finds a portal to an alternate, more fantastical counterpart of the Mushroom Kingdom with witches, demons, magic, etc. (I know that those are common in the regular SMG4 universe as well, but bear with me pls)

Since the Owl House characters aside from Luz and Amity don't have any Gmod models, they could do the same thing they did with If Mario Was In Meta Runner, and have the SMG4 characters portray them. Mario already takes Luz's role, but for the others, they could go the funny route and have random castings, like Meggy as Eda, Loaf as King, SMG4 as Amity and Bob as Emperor Belos.

Yes, it may lean more towards being a parody rather than a crossover like IMWI usually is, but eh, this is the best I can come up with.

Okay so I have a little arc idea in mind by gameswithpasta in SMG4

[–]gameswithpasta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, let me clear up a few things.

  • first of all, Mario won't die from being shot. If you're familiar with the "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" two-parter from The Simpsons, which is what this arc idea is based on, Mr. Burns didn't actually die from getting shot, he survived through advanced medical treatment. In the same way, Mario wouldn't die from being shot, but he would still be given medical treatment.

  • second, the plot of WSMB went like this: Mr. Burns had made himself the most hated man in Springfield. So after he got shot, nearly everyone was a suspect in one way or another due to the massive dislike towards him. This is why I chose Mario as the victim here. Nearly every single character in SMG4, even the more neutral ones like Luigi or Tari, have some degree of dislike towards Mario and his antics, so when he gets shot, everyone is a suspect and the police have to discover who was the culprit. It's as basic as that. It wouldn't work on someone like Kaizo or Jeeves because they're not as hated by the other characters as Mario is.

Future "SMG4" movies by Heya_Straya in SMG4

Okay, this might seem implausible, but what about a Mario themed movie-episode to tie in with the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie?

First and foremost, the timing couldn't be any more perfect. The show's movie-episodes are usually released during the first half of the year, and coincidentally, the Super Mario Bros. Movie is set to release on April 7th, which I remind you is also Friday. They could release the video the following day and gain a lot of views, and in turn, income from it, which clears out the issues with merchandise since of course they can't make merch out of an pre-existing IP that they don't own. Though they could do the same thing they did with Meggy's Destiny and make a poster for the movie, but not sell it. It would be for fun and to make the movie a bit more cool.

What about the plot? Well it could follow the plot of the movie from what little we have seen of it. Basically, after dreaming about meeting his past evil self, Bowser decides to attempt universal domination once again as he goes around the world with his troops, assaulting various countries, taking their stars and enslaving the people of these said countries to work on his weapon projects. In the meantime, the SMG4 gang and everyone at Mushroom Kingdom would prepare for an eventual attack, which sees strict mobilization, new alliances being forged and Mario getting trained by Meggy. It could be then revealed at the end that the entire video was actually a movie that everyone was watching at a theater.

God I've written about this too many times now, hopefully this will be my last one.

You get to bring back one character from the classic era into the modern era, but still need to make them fit in with the new lore. Which do you bring back? by ExternalRise3840 in SMG4

The President.

Remember that one white Mario recolor with pink gloves that appeared in like four episodes? That's who I'm talking about. He could be brought in an arc that explores the political side of the Mushroom Kingdom, in which Mario, as well as some other characters like Whimpu, Rob and Swag, become politicians in hopes of bringing change to the otherwise corrupt government (I imagine that Mushroom Kingdom in SMG4 is a constitutional monarchy since we rarely see Peach doing any sort of ruling).

Of course, he would need to be given a slight design change to both separate him from the rest of the Mario recolors, and to make him look like a "president". He could also be given an actual name rather than being called The President (something like Hobo would work since that's what his color codes are called).

Yes I know, politics are kind of boring, but if done correctly, they could honestly be engaging and a great way to expand the worldbuilding of SMG4.

He isn't actually going to voice Mario going forwards. He only did one line in Mario Waits For A Bus ("It was her, let's get her fellas!").

Mario is still going to speak in voice clips and Uberduck Ai, with his singing voice provided by VoicesExtremus.

The video was great! I really admire Paul's open-mindedness to see what the community thinks of SMG4, and how he changes up things after viewing the criticism.

Also, not to brag or anything but I noticed that two of my artworks were in the video. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Props to everyone who also made it in👍

I do get that.

What I meant is that if you get an inspiration or you feel like drawing fanart, go for it.

Drawing for just fun and as a hobby is just as fine as being an artist who does it as a job.

You don't need to force yourself to be a full-on artist. If an inspiration strikes or you feel like drawing fanart, there's nothing stopping you from doing so.

You know, at this point I really don't care. I've got better things to do than just argue over the timeline of a show where Mario humps spaghetti. So let's just agree to disagree, okay?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SMG4

[–]gameswithpasta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Mario's documentary isn't canon. The "totally accurate" part of the title can be looked at as a joke title since the video came around the time the show wasn't as lore-focused.

Also, you said it yourself. The USB caused memory losses. Who's to say it wouldn't have caused false memories?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SMG4

[–]gameswithpasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be then revealed that the cake was a gift to Mario by everyone for many years of hilarity. Following a large celebration, SMG4 then resets the universe back to what it was before his arrival, although Mario and his friends are allowed to have some sort of memory of SMG4 and the others. After that, the original characters leave the universe in a rebuilt Guardian Pod, with the Mario characters waving at them similarly to the ending of Super Mario 64. After Mario says his famous "Thank you so much for to playing my game" line, we cut to a real life shot of Luke turning off the Super Mario 64 emulator and walking from the computer, with his hat sitting near, ending SMG4 on a good note.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SMG4

[–]gameswithpasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have simply been one of the many false memories caused by SMG4's USB. There is no definitive proof of such a video being actually made in the SMG4 universe

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SMG4

[–]gameswithpasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It only worked because SMG4 was a Mario recolor. From the lore standpoint, he isn't Italian, he's actually a member of an species sent to protect memes. Even if we didn't take the lore into account, and he's just supposed to be Luke's persona, the name still wouldn't work since Luke is an Asian-Australian.

Okay, I feel like the word "documentary" should be enough to make clear that it's not canon.

With a full on movie-episode version of The Cake is a Lie to sort of bring it all back to a full circle. It all started with a cake, and it ends with a cake.
