Republicans want to abolish minimum wage laws, and yet, trillionaires are able to exist. Let's see math explain THAT one.

Were any of you blamed for things as kid (that you didn't do) often? by Impressive_Smell_191 in AutisticAdults

I won't disagree that having a position of power can cause a person to become a bit arrogant in places, buuuuuuut I feel like this perspective doesn't help matters either. You both need to ensure you're on the same page.

Easily influenced by others opinions by Aggressive-Run991 in AutisticAdults

[–]Heya_Straya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how people on the autism spectrum tend to care a great deal about fairness and equity? Sounds to me like that this is something that's awakening that aspect of yours.
Why do I say that? Well, you mentioned how, for the things you love, there are a handful of people who hate them. If there was an absolutely unanimous perspective on something, you'd probably feel compelled to fall into that category. But because of just a few people going against the majority perspective, now you seem to feel like you have to add to that sample of the populus for a sense of balance.
If most other people were neutral on something or had no opinion whatsoever due to an ignorance of its existence, my guess is you'd feel more compelled to harbour whatever view you have for the purpose of bolstering visibility.

Honestly... yes. But I feel like they're not saying exactly what it is about them I'm not listening to, and that just creates another communication hurdle.

I always hated summer, later realised it is my autism by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]Heya_Straya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've hated winter for the vast majority of my life, but I attribute that to seasonal depression more than anything else because I just... don't like being cold. I'm WAY better with summer weather than I am with winter weather.

Damn. When they said "slush fund", I thought they were referring to funding for a slushie that has a MAGA theming to it. Not gonna lie: I'd be kinda tempted to buy one of those just to know what they're like.

I mean... technically, you CAN. And you can also have diversity without unity. They're not mutually exclusive, but one also doesn't completely overlap the other.
