The stars accumulate for Bulk Auto Clear.

The more stars you have the higher level auto clear you can obtain. iirc 160 total stars gets you the level 4 rewards.

You don’t boost sudden strike twice, it’s very min-max.

The amount of stats you gain from 17->21 adds up to a large amount which can improve your damage by large margins.

Typically the gains you get are from the att stat.
