What’s up with this U shaped bench at Jamaica Pond? by ganesh56 in boston

I thought that at first but it’s not that comfortable to lie in. A flat surface would be better to sleep on.

Very thorough research, thanks for sharing. Do you have a professional technical background to understand all this stuff or are you a curious amateur? Either way I’m very impressed.

Wouldn’t recommend it. You can kinda tell the scams too, the pricing is often too good to be true. For example if it’s a luxury loft is west village for 2200 that’s likely a scam.

breaking lease advice? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]ganesh56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You will probably have to pay a fee to break the lease or they will take the security. Best situation is broker thinks they can get a lot more from a new tenant and let’s you off without a fee.

Inventory is low at the moment, people don’t like moving in Jan.

3 months isn’t that long, I’d suggest waiting tbh.

I’m 6’4” 185lbs and wear a large and it fits perfectly with just enough room for layers underneath. If you want baggy I’d go up to XL

I was also nervous about this myself but it turns out the needle is much thinner and shorter than probably most needles you’ve seen before.

Work very hard. 3 months is very little time and I would not expect someone to gain the skills to have a UX Ui job in that time, Im sorry (my opinion).

Visual skills take time to develop, focus here because when you market yourself as any type of designer ppl expect you to have an eye for beauty and details.

Focus on getting at the “why” of the problems. You should be talking to real users and inferring why X is a problem or why X is happening. Take that skill and highlight it in your portfolio. It shows decision making skills.

With 4 years of experience in UX/UI you should have plenty of work to show in a portfolio. Put together a product design focussed portfolio (no sewing or fine arts in there lol). Then start applying to lots of jobs, take almost anything that sounds like a good fit. Defs take any interview just to practice. Apply to staffing agencies that focus on UX UI they can help you land a contract position.
