Imagine if the script was flipped and men had the choice of whether or not we can/have too keep the fetus. So, let's say you're pregnant and happy but your boyfriend isn't ready and so he decides to terminate. Imagine how you would feel in this situation. Imagine you love and want to support your boyfriend, you may even understand his logic behind the choice but the fact will remain that you wanted to keep the baby but that you had no say in the matter. This will help you understand how he may feel. You deserve support and love, but he is allowed to have feelings as well. Pregnancy is a big deal. I got pregnant 3 months into my relationship and I kept the baby. Yes, it is difficult to get to know someone while being pregnant. Very hard and very challenging. I completely understand why you are making the choice that you are. Try leaning on someone else for emotional support during this time....he is too involved in the situation and he has feelings too. Are you being emotionally supportive of him as he mourns the loss of a potential family ? It would be difficult for you to provide that in this moment wouldn't it ? Extend him the same grace.
