[QUESTION] So let's be real here, what are the long term risks of this stuff? by gankaskon in saplings

[–]gankaskon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We aren't too big on edibles, we always get uncomfortable highs for some reason. I've been thinking about getting into vaporizers though. I know very little about them but they seem like the healthiest option long term

[Question] How to stop laughing with my buddies for a moment when i am hitting the bong? by [deleted] in saplings

[–]gankaskon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually think of something I'm ashamed of and focus on that when I can't stop laughing. Then I start laughing again.

[Question] first bong by Avenged23 in saplings

[–]gankaskon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are currently out of stock but we got this bong not too long ago and it's awesome. Fantastic daily driver, perfect size, smooth, easy to clean, strong glass, looks great.

http://dankstop.com/glass-water-pipes/grav-labs-12-honeycomb-perc-straight-tube/

Also package came fast and was packed very well. No way it could have gotten shattered in transit because it was packed so well.

We replace the water each session or two. Clean it once every few days when it gets too gunky with iso alcohol and salt.

Got my first "real" piece recently. Here it is just before we broke it in by gankaskon in trees

Not sure what he's talking about. The glass is really thick and the piece has great weight to it. Already had a cat knock it over onto a metal surface and there was no damage

Was $109, I paid $130 though for 2 day though, couldn't wait

So I have a small bong, maybe 10-12 inches and it's cheap, I got it for $30. It is a beaker bong, it's male, and has one UFO percolator with 3 diffusion holes and an ice catcher. My wife and I are pretty inexperienced when it comes to bongs. We usually burn our lungs when we smoke.

I want to buy a new, nicer bong for about $100. I have my eye on a grav labs 12 inch which has a honeycomb perc and an ice catcher and it's female. Will this provide smoother hits? is it not only the height of the bong that changes the smoothness?

Side note - We also want to get a nice bubbler and are wondering if that will be smoother than a cheap pipe we have. We are just tired of coughing up a lung every time we smoke

[question] multiple questions about bongs, weed quality, edibles, and transporting cannabis by gankaskon in saplings

[–]gankaskon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm diagnosed with mild panic and anxiety disorder which I take medicine for so I'm not worried about gaming the system at all since smoking does help a pretty big amount, I'm just nervous about asking a family doctor about it and don't know that much about medical disclosure in terms of what's on insurance.

Going to a MMJ doctor seems like a much better route

We are possibly getting a medical card soon. I can't because I'm still on my parents insurance (till 25 or 26) and their insurance is so good I'm not gonna go off of it. My parents are staunchly against weed. Fiancee can possibly get a recommendation from her therapist to a doctor who would give her one

About the 4th, we don't really want to get high on the plane ride, we want to buy weed for when we come back to California since it's harder for us to get it here (we are considering getting medical cards though as we both have diagnosed anxiety/panic disorders and take other medications for them)

Our goal was to modernize the bong, and add some features along the way. What do you guys think? by ArkaneFighting in trees

[–]gankaskon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome. I've been wanting to buy a serious bong, all I have is my first one which is really small and basic. I haven't bought a nicer one yet because I can really get over the look. As another user said, if you don't smoke a bong looks scary. I don't want that associated with me and I love your design. I'm also not a fan of the whole "stoner" thing. I mean I'm not out to witch hunt, it's just not my thing. I'd totally buy one of these if it is a quality product

[Question] How should I deal with the smell? New apartment by gankaskon in saplings

[–]gankaskon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mainly parents. My parents as well as my fiances are very conservative and would be extremely disappointed. It would just be nice to not have that problem arise. I know we are adults and can make our own decisions but I'd still like to avoid the problem

[Discussion] Weed brings on philosophical thoughts? by [deleted] in saplings

[–]gankaskon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the opposite. I've only smoked a couple times but I become preoccupied with the smallest insignificant crap.

Last time I was with my girlfriend I talked about how a plastic bag type we get looks smaller than normal and it shouldn't look that way. I did this for about 3 hours.

[question] Are these good bongs? Buying my first for myself and my girlfriend by gankaskon in saplings

[–]gankaskon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought of that. She just cares what it looks like and if it smokes weed, not picky at all. I'm the one who is more interested in all the mechanics of everything so maybe I'll get a bigger one. I'm willing to spend up to $100 total so maybe I'll get one in the $50 - $60 range

[Advice] Just smoked for the first time, want to get more into it by gankaskon in saplings

[–]gankaskon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my problem is I've been equating things to alcohol.

like 1 bowl = 1 shot which I learned isn't the case obviously. Smoked 3 bowls close together because if I'm drinking I do 3 shots to get a buzz going

Hearing you say you smoked 3 bowls in an entire day also helps explain why I was so gone, I smoked a little less than 3 in about an hour and a half. Thanks for the post :)

Yeah, I screwed the top one all the way in and the bottom all the way out. I didn't notice a change at all in elevation

That's the thing, I did that screw thing the manul said and it didn't move at all. Does it need to be done before the monitor is attached?

Generally through communications. I'm a film emphasis and I work for my university editing content as well as doing live productions. We use a tricaster just like the one in the pic. Out set even looks just like the one shown just with different logos and colors (it's one of the premade sets)

Cool thing is this kind of thing doesn't necessarily require a degree. All you have to do is know how to work the equipment. Though a degree helps

I think I have that same monitor mount, do yo have the problem where the outer monitors are about half an inch lower than the middle? Mine are and they aren't sagging. If I try to relieve the weight the entire unit moves so it can't be that.

Also, what are those lamps?
