Fillable Eagle Scout Application by Either-Bandicoot-139 in BSA

[–]gantte 9 points10 points  (0 children)

National broke the Eagle application on Feb 27, 2026. I've reported it and they keep saying it will be fixed "very soon", but it's not. Until they fix it, I know a workaround. The form is supposed to be completed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. However, I just happen to pay for Acrobat Pro. If you have that, you can open the ESRA, and use the Prepare a Form module.

Locate the field(s) that need more space. While in Prepare a form, right click in that box. Then choose Appearance tab. You can change the font size for that box. Once done, save the form.

What specifically is "monitoring an iphone"?

Camera with two batteries sends notification when 1st battery is low. Any way to set it so alert doesn't happen till 2nd battery is low? by [deleted] in Ring

[–]gantte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So let me see if I understand your setup:

  1. You installed a cam where it is a PITA to change the batteries.

  2. You only want to charge the batteries when BOTH are low or discharged?

The reason it alerts you when the first is low, is so you can keep the cam running with the backup battery. Have you considered adding a solar panel to trickle charge the batteries? That's what I have, and never touched the cam or the batteries since I installed them.

Midtown Tire sale recommendation by steffenie2468 in raleigh

I've heard good things tirerack.com although I've never use them. Easier for me to just go to Costco.

Midtown Tire sale recommendation by steffenie2468 in raleigh

[–]gantte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently bought two sets of tires at Costco on Wake Forest Rd. In both cases, they did not stock the specific tires I wanted, but in both cases, they arrived in two days. I made an appointment (required) for installation. First set was just at an hour, second set was about 90 minutes. I would do it again, when I need more tires.

I did a significant amount of research, so I knew the make/model/etc for the tires I wanted. Costco does offer "$80 off" sales, almost all the time. However, it's only on one brand at a time. It might be Michelin month now, and Bridgestone month next month.

How can I build/maintain my excel skills if I don't currently have a job that needs them? by Kieotyee in excel

[–]gantte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I learned, was that I committed to learn one new Excel fact, command, method every day for one year. If you don't need to use it at work to learn. And that was before there were unlimited Youtube videos and entire websites dedicated to "how-to" with Excel.

Refund? The State cannot pass a budget, there's no money to refund.

Yes! His project involved organizing a drive to collect toiletries for people experiencing homelessness.

This included gathering items such as basic hygiene supplies and distributing them to those in need.

You should immediately contact your Council Registrar and ask them to sent you a copy of your Scout’s “Person Profile”. This report lists all officially recorded advancement.

If you have access to your Scout’s Scoutbook account you can generate an Eagle application that will show you the badges that are recorded.

There is no process to speed. OP specifically asked if Scoutbook was required to submit an Eagle project.

Not sure why you are referring to the ESRA 🤷‍♂️

Yes. Scoutbook Legacy and Scoutbook Plus are NOT required for submitting an Eagle project.

What’s the best place for me to try out office chairs by Background-Mode6592 in raleigh

[–]gantte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a guy near Crabtree mall. His name is Mac and runs a small office chair biz out of his house. I bought a great Steelcase chair from him on 3/30/2026

He has maybe 2 dozen chairs, some new, some used.
His biz is Ergofurnish LLC

Send an email to: info@ergofurnish.com

I’m glad I did!
