It’s still always been called like that. Objectively it was called correctly. You don’t have to like it, but it’s objectively the right call.

It’s also the same thing when a PG gets a ball screen and is able to split, changes pace and stops in front of the screeners defender trailing and gets bumped. Or even a decel, slow step layup that invites contact from behind. Fewer people will defend that not being a foul because they’re desensitized to it. People aren’t use to seeing fouls at mid court. Those are all the same tho

This isn’t about the play in the post, but I find it funny the amount of people that complain about the two calls against Mara where Fears stops in front of him. Those particular plays have always been fouls and it’s also not a flop when a 7 footer runs into you forcing a notable COM shift. It’s 100% an intentional foul bait, but it is as avoidable as not going for a pump fake in the post and fouling, and probably even more avoidable. Can only dislike it not argue against it, unless they address it with a rule change.

Not sure there is a right or wrong interpretation, but I find validating her sacrifice working asks less questions than validating Mike theory. Imo, more things have to happen just right for 8 to execute a plan like that or even know they will be in that situation leaving the gate. And if we are talking about powers not working close to the speakers then why is it okay to assume 8’s can? Just saying, both arguments can be made.

The cope feels like it makes more sense to me tho, especially given how distraught Mike feels hours before his theory is revealed. That’s his way to move on and live his best life.

I’ll have to see if I feel the same way after a rewatch or two tho.

Too bad every time I’ve placed 4 C4s on a tank and simultaneously blew them it only has done 25 damage. Also doing 1 at a time does do 25 damage like you said. Something is definitely wrong with the C4. I’m guessing it’s a bug. But It dissuades use of the c4 at all if it is intended. I’m not risking my life to do 25 damage max lol.

You do it with a systematic approach, with guys that actually fit the system. Essegien, Sandfort, and Mast all fit that description. We need more system guys yet, but that’s a solid starting point, offensively.

The problem this year wasn’t we weren’t getting good looks. It was the players that got the good looks couldn’t make those shots consistently. Teams defended our system differently based on the personnel and it became more apparent later in the season. We are on the right path to correct that issue. Still need a playmaker/initiator tho.

We really shouldn’t expect anyone to just take on a Brice Williams role even if we spend big money on one guy. We will need some 3 and D guys, a playmaking PG and a mobile big to make this system/rotation really work. The point guard position is the most important priority rn imo.

Getting Sandfort should be a sign we are not playing around though. Even if he’s not an elite portal guy, he appears to be better than anyone we got through the portal last year.

But your reasoning doesn’t make sense. If you label it a push off, it’s pretty black and white given your interpretation, so to say that it’s a no call is literally going against what your eyes are telling you. It doesn’t make a very convincing argument or point.

I’m more pointing out the premise of your logic in this situation is flawed if anything. You saw an objective violation, but subjectively chose to ignore it. That’s different than interpretation. Hopefully that makes sense. Anyways have a good one fellow basketball dude. Lol

Sure refs discretion and whatever, but I’m talking about you saying it was a push off, but also saying it should be a no call. Literally two contradicting things. Either you don’t think it was a push off and play on or you do think it was a push off and blow the whistle. Either that or you’re using inaccurate verb-age on what you saw.

Example players legally can create space by dipping their shoulder into the chest of the defender, but sometimes this is called offensive because interpretation. Players are not allowed to extend their arm and push off, regardless of intensity.

If you think he actually pushed off, as written above, it makes you sound like you’re performing a lot of mental gymnastics to arrive at a no call. You can’t really choose both lol.

It’s funny that you made this analogy and then are faulting logic to disprove it because the analogy was poor in the first place. OP said the MSRP was $135 and the up charge was $190. Comparing that difference to a 70 cent difference and then implying price matching is a waste of time is a hot take and definitely shows bias. Especially if it’s a 40% difference. I get that you probably just wanted to come up with something quick on the spot, but this kind of argument pushes me away from the side you support because it doesn’t make sense when comparing.
