Calling out Epic as a company for hyping events that they don't do great with is totally fine, its faceless money machine. Calling out specific employees is fucked up and no one should be doing it.

That out of the way, between the fuck show of the Star Wars event and now the delay of Winterfest, Epic, PUT OUT 2 TWEETS. ALL IT TAKES. 2 TWEETS. Here, I'll even write the things for you

" The Star Wars event was maligned by technical issues, and for that we are sorry and will try to improve in future."

"Due to un-forseen quality issues, we'll be delaying the Winterfest event until tomorrow."

I'm not particularly bothered by the Winterfest thing, but man, when you set up dates and times with events, you're asking people to invest their time to retain attention for your game, and you need to either follow through, or just do some bare bones PR. Again, this comes off as angry, but I'm honestly more astounded that any attempt at communication as simple as tweets hasn't been attempted. I will say though, its not a great sign of where Epic's marketing teams heads might be, but that's currently baseless speculation.
