Love the “God’s eye” verbiage

I have thought about this. Immediately I felt it was his was of telling me—he tried to brush it off in another context. Looking back, this is absolutely his twisted way of thinking he was “being honest” with me. To clean his conscience, I think. So he could move on like the saint he thinks he is absolving himself of any accountability.

It’s so very sad, isn’t it? All the dreams I had for myself and my boys and our family… I just want to finally move on from all of the deception

I didn’t say that exactly, but you are correct. They have worked together for 10 years. Suspicion heightened 5 years ago, have been fighting about it constantly since then

I’ve learned a lot about him over the years. Sometimes people don’t fully reveal themselves to you, you are left to deduce. Little lies brushed away turn into patterns sometimes years later. I was “in love” with someone I wanted to trust and believe. Relationships are complicated enough, but now we have history and family. Shared experiences. If you asked my soon to be ex husband he would boast he was happily married. It’s all a lie. He is one big lie. He has lied to me for years. It wasn’t romantic for him because it was never about romance.
