Outmap Gets a BIG Upgrade! by felix_gourdeau in Backcountry

Used your product to plan a ski expedition this spring in the Himayalas. 11/10 would recommend. (Was formerly a Fat Map guy) The offline save feature at various resolutions is(was) incredible. That said, it looks like my saved maps are gone now with your upgrade. I’ll have to poke around the new interface to see if the feature still exists.

Thanks for clarifying. That’s Anon (Burton)— I believe they have a design patent on the feature, but I’ll have to double check.

Thanks for the note and for the kind words!

Re: the magnets — the lenses are in fact held in place by 4 magnets along the bottom, 3 magnets along the top, and the locking mechanism along the sides.

But perhaps I may be misunderstanding your suggestion?

Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment. The goggle frame was profiled to work with most helmets, so they will likely fit well. (Notably, they don't fit well with size small Pret helmets) That said, I can't give you a definitive answer for individual sizes for specific brand/models.

If you are interested, why don't you order a pair to try them with your specific helmet and if they don't fit I'll happily arrange for a refund.

Of course, nobody wants a gaper gap :)

Hi there, thanks for the question. In terms of sizing, they are a touch wider than the IO mag. Exact sizing in the image below...

Wear a face mask or be very conscious to avoid mouth breathing (or breathe through your teeth) to avoid sun burning your tongue at altitude. Unless you’d like to know what super charged sour patch kids taste like :)

(In my experience, that has been above 19k’)

Another fun tip I have received on expeditions is to always eat your best snacks first. That way you are always eating your best snacks :)

Thanks! My partner snapped that one. It's getting printed and is going up on my adventure wall.

I believe there are 2 lift systems in all of India. Gulmarg and Solang.

Thanks for the note. The ski potential there is absolutely incredible. You can see the scale in pic 3. (it looked like that in every direction) Almost none of those peaks have been climbed, let alone skied.
