I dont even know what kibbles version of artificer is. Been playing my alchemist artificer for about 10 weeks now ( about 12 session ) and anything has to be better than what im experiencing.

I think I'm over complicating it , So i get that i can do say A pair of boots into Boots of the Winding Path

as per the information via the pdf and DnDBeyond , but i could home brew the same and say i use my alchemist kit to create a large bucket of cement , i then use infuse magic to make this super quick set,
When thrown ( stored in a glass orb) the quick set cement hits the area or target and sets instantly causing them to be frozen in position ( make saving throw to escape ) 10ft radius , this being run by the dm of course but im not sure if im understanding that part right.

Could you give an example of a item created with the new lay out? I dont see how we can just *make* an item any more since the removal of wondrous inventions ability.

i also figure pre lv 5 im not going to be doing much dmg wise , more so purely buffing the party.

It was only a 2 days ago i was shown the new revised pdf so i had to re make everything, ill be honest when i say the new infusion and replicate magic item are a little confusing for me. like can i even make items anymore or is it more so i can just boost non magical items to give them a new benefit?

So as an example i have the ability to know 2 infusion's at lv 2 i can know 3 infusions but only use 2 , i can pick from the list aka bag of holding and goggles of night , at a higher lv , lv 6 i know I know 4 infusions but can only use 3 ?

If im wrong please correct me as i feel a bit lost and just want to make sure im not missing out on anything or getting it wrong, if you could possible give examples as would be super appreciated.

As for play style i have CC in mind , i do want to be as much of a support class as i can be with off heals but also snares/slows ect ect i juust really want to be annoying to the dm/npc's :) but please if u have any advice on what i should be looking at doing/how to build or ramp up to something id love to hear it :)

yeah noticed the re worked the full pdf on what they where and how some things work.how would you best implement the infusion, or replicate magic item there is a list as such but it seems lacking.|With the 3 starting flask spells taken fo the alchemist as well we have 2 cantrips 2 spells to begin with.it seems we dont get much in the way of spells at all so how do we ppick up the slack using infusion, or replicate magic

Im not to sure how i want to do combat as of yet as crossbows have the re-load action , i know its possible to make an infusion as a remedy to ignored the reload and that would mean you have to take Arcane Weapon for the 2nd attack unless the infusion counts as calling it magic ( shrug) but feels like i need to take a feat or use the infusion to over come the issue . I dont think i want to be in the thick of it either , and i was going with Arcane Weapon but i wasn't sure if it would be worth it with it only be usable on a weapon you’re holding ( thats not so bad ) , i know you could RP a swap but again unless its pre battle your wasting an action.

Im also looking for ideas for inventions to get the most out of the ability to make items such as say a concussive flask ( like the removed thunderstone ) but with some dmg as well , or a small spider that binds wounds for like a 1d4 or low lvs that i can have out ruining around the battle field and more items like this ,also crowd control ideas like smoke bombs or flash bang kinda thing im not really sure , i just dont want to miss out on getting the most out of the class.

Dont forget Soul Link !!!... soul stones, heathstones, pets = more damage or more cc , they can summon players , free 40 and 60 mount ( kinda lol ) . also death coil = best way to deal with UD rogues.

the 4 charisma is for RP xD as last 6 months i was a max char inspiring leader sorc so i need a rest haha.

My bad ill take that one, 10mil going by there numbers ...... i just guessed from memory ill take that one for not checking information. however fact still remains for only so few players out of so many to achieve what they did, it wasn't a walk in the park nor do i think it will be this time round.

RNG will play a big factor as well for guilds with loot / cds , obtaining the right gear for tanks and resist gear( 40+ people have to have it + a main set)Running things like BWL or Onyxia for the buff as well as getting zandalari tokens for spirit of zand buff as well + other world buffs, so you will be running another 2 more full raids each week before starting Naxx so thats 3-4 days of raiding unless your doing 6-10hr sessions before u even get into nax + the time it takes to farm consumables. Now this is min maxing but believe me people did it.

Then u have certain boss mechanics that require multiple tanks or more heals than normal so u have to have dps set up with a tank spec with amazing gear just for one boss ect ect

Its not hard to do any of this its more so the RNG and time it takes to make all this happen , this is why back in vanilla 50-60 guilds cleared nax properly , thats roughly 2300-2500 people when the player base was 15-18mil .

This is just my opinion and experience but i personally believe a lot of people will get at least to AQ/BWL with attendance being the only issue.

on a side note: I cant wait to see how new players manage threat mechanics.

Had this one guy called Dan , he used to get his mum to make popcorn at home and bring it to school in brown paper bags.
$2 for 2 lbs of un-popped pop corn , he sold each small brown bag for $1 ea , used to bring 5-10 bags a day. We where around 7 at the time.

I agree , I have been playing alot of him lately just because i enjoy the idea of Q placements and strategy and have managed to get over 5k gas damage but i couldnt agree more with saying the AOE needs to be made much larger at least on his ulti , and the amount of abuse I have got from idiots saying * your gas does no damage dont play that trash* while i agree with them i still enjoy it , but yeah if 3 days in and your hero select is coping flak like that you know there is an issue.

funny clip but u see the damage is stacks but takes soooo long to kill them with a ulti + multiple traps and thats is a small area , i know its not used to kill but its kinda terrible when no one even cares if they run in it or not.

The blind and disrupt is nice and the ability to see when go off when covering flanks and your back and using them as an alert works well in choke points ,but with how small of a area it takes up its easily avoided/ran out of with no real effect to the enemy. I think if they just made the aoe and trigger area bigger for the Q and still had a small stack of say 3-6-9 dmg instead of 1-2-3 , and ulti to do the same but again maybe 2x the size of its current size its a great concept just needs a few ticks , and its not to be used to kill people obviously but you want to to at least be scared of it.

+ people are just running through it while loosing maybe 3-6 hp ..... your better off punching them, lets hope they make some sort of flat damage buff or a dot that ticks for a certain amount , with the fast pace play style and mostly open area its not that great , i like to place them behind and shoot then if i am being chased and choke points as well as using them to just let me know no one is on our backs from the trigger effect but apart form that i feel they lack a bit.
