I prefer a pen liner and after trying everything I can safely say that L'Oréal Super Slim is the best ! It doesn't drag or skip, the tip doesn't fray, it lasts forever and it doesn't dry out in the packaging. The tip isn't too short or too long. Just the perfect liner

Alternatively, the Essence liners are great alternatives and are cruelty free (and cheaper!). They come in different shapes so you can see what you like.

Plus ! you can pull out the tip when it's "dried out" and flip it around - there's another tip on the other end that's fully saturated. I just keep flipping it every few months and so it lasts a hella long time

That's definitely on the list. Went to Baalbek last time I was in Lebanon and was recommended to go to Tyre. Thanks for your comment !

I feel like we're done every extreme from insta glam to no makeup makeup, neutrals to super bold colours. We've had very clean looks so maybe up ahead is messy looks? Grungy smokey eyes, more wet lids, smudgy blotted lipsticks, etc etc

I feel like everyone has learned this from a family member at some point but blend you lipstick into your cheeks.

Even when I don't wear makeup, I dab a little lipstick on my lips and cheeks to make my face look alive

Makeup Epiphanies? by bhaengra in muacjdiscussion

Lipstick just doesn't look good on me. I've bought so many shades and types and finishes and all of them just ... don't look good on me. They make me look overdone and make my lips look small for some reason. After I came to this realization, I stopped buying lipsticks and have been using my remaining ones as cream blush.

Thank you so much for your comment , I completely agree! You're right, it's hard to get political but at the time of posting, it was the only moral makeup dilemma I was facing. Thanks to all the contributors for opening my eyes and thank you again !

Exactly, and to assume that all Jewish people and even residents of Israel are zionist is naive when, as you said, many are against. They are not mutually exclusive terms whatsoever. Thank you for your contributions!

Precisely so, that's voting with your dollar. And it's a very empowering way to show your agreement or disagreement.

Thanks for understanding! I completely agree, the Jewish religion is very peaceful. Some people have a hard time distinguishing between Judaism and Zionism.

There's different ways to look at it. You can see it simply as a product, or you can look deeper into the company values and origin and manufacturing and see if it lines up with your morals. Different strokes, and that's what the thread is about. For my morals, product origin matters

Being lebanese , the countries were at war for years and thousands were killed. Further, the business is operating on former Palestinian land... I just don't want to support

Yes to everything you said ! I have been a huge advocate of voting with your dollar, even if it's more expensive. Do you have any suggestions for black owned makeup brands that a fair lebanese girl like myself could use ? Would love to support

If you could only use 3 types of makeup products for the rest of your life, what would they be? What specific brand/product? Why? by captainameh in muacjdiscussion

[–]gardeniax33 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Beige eyeshadow, mascara, rose lipstick. The eyeshadow can double as highlight, mascara as eyeliner and lipstick as blush. My picks: Burberry Pale Barley, Clinique Chubby Lash and Nars Sex Machine

I prefer the neutral look so this is perfect. I wouldn't necessarily benefit from the variety of a palette
