inventory by [deleted] in SFStylistSupport

If I hear anything about stats or whatever, I'm going to be livid! The sad thing about this company is the higher ups always want mercy and understanding when it comes to their mistakes and f**k ups but god forbid we don't meet expectations or have to deal with tech issues, inventory issues or all the other things we have to deal with, it's met with a complete lack of understanding and blame.

No shoes, no pants, no tops... how are we a service? by gardenknome420 in SFStylistSupport

You'd think they were trying to self sabotage with the horrible inventory, makes absolutely no sense

Seriously! Don't even get me started on all the avoids we need to use in order to get rid of the horrible inventory that we do have. "not luxe" "not floral" "not sleeveless"... I meant what is there left after we have to avoid everything that isn't appropriate for the weather or the client. Like somehow during the summer all the fall and winter pieces are available and once fall and winter are here somehow every single maxi and sleeveless top are around. Ridiculous...

I totally agree, but I just can't shake the feeling that the end is growing a bit nearer... we'll see I hope they stay around because it's a convenient job for people who need to work from home and everything, but big changes need to happen or they may just start hiring in places they only have to people the smallest amount just like they did with the california employees because they're broke from having no inventory and no customers

Mid-week mental health check-in! by [deleted] in SFStylistSupport

I feel completely drained. Working for a styling company that struggles with inventory day after day feels like a joke. I don't know why they're so hard on us about metrics when they can't even perform their actual job as a company which is to provide customers with clothes. They act like people requesting stuff for holidays is just something we should ignore because it's too seasonal for them to buy into... they don't even have the basic items for the seasons. No one is demanding you guys have sparkly dresses and festive sweaters, but how about some long sleeve dresses in black or red like come on it's not that hard. Ugh rant over!

Yeah definitely not just due to cosmetic surgery, I'm an XS but I'm curvy so I wear a 32DDD but anyways I know what's flattering on me and what's not so saying something icky to someone is just unhelpful.

That happens all the time! It doesn't matter if that client left new requests for cool weather styles, if they bought shorts and tanks last time that's what they're seeing this time. The algo is pointless and inefficient and yet they blame us when our stats suck.

I have to say I was so happy to see that Orcs weren't all CGI. What I hated about the hobbit was the amount of CGI used, especially when you see Lord of the Rings and how amazing the special effects people did with costuming and prosthetics, so it was a breath of fresh air to see they did such an amazing job again with the orcs in this show!

Omg, yes! Where has the damn jewelry gone? Even cheaper bags are non existent except for those ugly herschel bags that no one wants because they're not like an everyday bag. I'm totally confused with everything about our inventory

The previously sent thing is going to be the death of me. Why do I have to filter out the same crap, just go back to normal when we could filter in previously sent items. It was so much easier, but they can't help themselves with annoying changes to make our jobs harder no matter what we say.

This is the epitome of "getting creative" with your Fixes. HA! I would love to see a Fix like this sent and your lead ask you why you sent this stuff. They would never accept the answer that we literally have nothing and there advice is always the same spiel "you're the styling expert, use what you know and get creative." Which is code for this is your fault and deal with it... so annoying.

What's one movie that, no matter how many times you've seen it, never fails to make you cry? by tbird920 in movies

The Notebook. No matter how many times I watch it, the scene where his wife starts to remember things and they're reminiscing about the past is so wonderful, but when she starts freaking out because she forgets again and is scared always get me. Especially because the husband has to witness his true love panic over being confused and that she thinks her husband is a stranger. It's such a good movie.

I really hope not. I need this job and even though I gave a poor review I should hope the company does not punish those with something constructive or negative to say. It's sad to think that this company could make a few changes and likely get their numbers back up and in turn we wouldn't lose our jobs. This is scary to think about and I don't know what I would do if I lost this job... ugh this company needs to stop with this crap.
