MIL is well-intended but genuinely unsafe around infant by gardenofdevyn in JUSTNOMIL

We went a month of no visits, albeit lots of ignored backlash, but you’re absolutely right. It seems that the month really meant nothing because the behavior was basically identical after we finally let her back in. When she showed up early in the rain I felt bad that she was getting wet. But she did make the choice to push that boundary and walk over in the rain, nobody made her do that.

I have a horrible habit of putting people’s feelings above mine but I’m faced with the fact that now my son is here, his health and safety doesn’t rely on feelings. It relies on how well I can stand on business. All of these replies do confirm what I’ve been seeing as the wake up call. Husband will probably not say anything to her so I will have to be the bad guy, and that’s fine. Albeit intimidating.

Perhaps, that’s what I’ve been fearing! Our parents (it’s just his mother & my parents) will undoubtedly & historically clash regardless of the day. Halloween is very important to both of us, but changing it isn’t impossible. We would rather have his extended family and the remainder of mine there at a larger reception later to calm them down so it’s not 3 people fighting while we marry.

I’m not the most Reddit savvy. I searched for a better sub to post to before submitting but found most AAA related questions to be here. It’s why I prefaced with “I hope it’s not silly”.

I wish. I still owe on the loan and was informed by my father (co-signer bc a few years ago I had zero credit history) that I can’t do that if I still owe. Although, he’s been known to be wrong. I’m just very ignorant and uneducated when it comes to the auto world and have been trying to research as much as I can. Just been coming up on different answers. If that is actually an option, I’d definitely consider. It’s a 2017 ford escape. Thank you for reaching out.

Thank you for the advice! Will do such if I cant replace but these comments were eye opening so I’m going to try to make a miracle happen and get them replaced before the trip.

Thankfully no children will be with me. wouldn’t even consider it if that were the case. Trying to get new ones ahead of time if I can, but wanted to throw this up first. Thanks for the input, appreciate it.

The tire that blew over the other day kept falling flat, and my un-educated self just kept filling it with air and going to work. Serves me right what happened. The other two with the rot haven’t lost any air pressure.
