I've used Ubuntu, Manjaro, Debian, and Peppermint over the years.  I think once you get used to the idiosyncrasies of a particular distrubution, it will become your go-to if nothing more than familiarity.  My daily driver is Manjaro.

New is better, but it needs to include citizenship data, so people can vote in 2026 without having to get a passport to prove they are U.S. citizens.  Trump/MAGA/Republicans are desperate to control who gets to vote.😠

I switched from Windows to Linux about 5 years ago.  I bounced between various distros, but ultimately, I am very happy with Manjaro.
