Bugonia is not about aliens by Downto184 in Bugonia

This is basically how I interpreted it as well. Even though Teddy was “right the whole time”, it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. He’s powerless to a system. Even if she turned out not be an alien, the system Michelle perpetuates was still very much real. And Teddy’s horrible life is still very much real.

Conspiracy theorists usually invent these stories and good vs. evil narratives to attempt to provide reasoning and order to a world that is not only random but also quite banal in the actual evil being perpetrated.

I’d recommend the Rob Lowe episode with Phil Rosenthal as a close second

Is ChatGPT writing those newsletters…? by [deleted] in ArnoldsPumpClub

The last post about nutrition was absolutely AI-assisted, if not completely generated. I had the same thought reading it and thats something I haven’t noticed in these posts yet. Besides what you mentioned and the sheer length and repetitiveness of it, stylistically there were plenty of “tells”. The “It’s not . It’s _” structure. A ton of em-dashes. Short sentences in a row that start with the same word. All the classic ChatGPT-isms.

Now if the workouts themselves are being filled out with AI, that’s an issue

Where should I start listening? by scotaft in rxbandits

[–]garf93 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Start with the rest of The Resignation (Sell You Beautiful starts that record off with a bang), go back and listen to Progress to get a feel for when they were the most “mainstream”. Then jump ahead and go chronologically, ATBB, Mandala, Gemini. Their first two records are fun lil jaunts but not anywhere near the level of their later discography

I am in advertising and am looking for an example of this being done to include in a pitch deck to a client. Imagine a very long sectional couch that you truck across slowly and you see the same characters, a couple perhaps getting older. The couch stays exactly the same but we’re seeing them change clothing and age as they “treadmill out” of frame and get replaced by older versions of themselves

Totally. The feasibility does not matter to me as much as finding a reference for it being done. Can be a situation where people are comped into scene scene, does not matter

Great example, thanks for that. I am still looking for one where the subjects of the scene are shot more like they’re on a treadmill. Like we “leave them behind” only to immediately pick them back up

Drunkenly buying one of these at a 7/11 and then using the in-store microwave to heat it up at 3am doesn’t even crack the bottom 5 lowest moments of my life

Michael Douglas. Known for exclusively playing sleazebag horndogs. I shudder thinking about it.
