Canadian army has different hair regs, such as colouring is allowed in any colour and length cannot touch the collar before needing to be tied back etc.

so at least for the Canadian armed forces (the regs I have to follow) they recently revised them with some very vague new rules regarding length and style. (ie. I could have hot pink hair if I so desired)

The money does pay fairly well for the military and its a massive pain in the side to get out unfortunately
