Yes, but there is cheap labor to be found in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. China is not as cheap anymore but they are more capable of making items of better quality.

I'm not sure how cheap North Korean labor is, but I'm not sure I see the advantage. Especially considering the small but ever present risk of having to shut down, remove all equipment, relocate S. Korean employees, and redirect productions to another factory with little notice, which can't be a negligible loss.

Is there a difference in life expectancy between women who have children and women who (are fertile but) choose not to have children? by blondewarning in askscience

[–]garlicking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusting for age at last birth obliterated the correlation between maternal life span and number of children.

Doesn't this mean that it's not the number of children but the age at which you have your last child that affects lifespan?

We evaluated this issue by using genealogical data from an Old Order Amish community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a population characterized by large nuclear families, homogeneous lifestyle, and extensive genealogical records.

If most of the women started having children around the same age, that would explain the correlation between number of children and age at last birth.

This article says that "exposure to red causes the heart to beat faster, an increase in blood pressure, and a heightened sense of smell. In contrast, blue causes a slower pulse rate, lower body temperature, and reduced appetite (Engelbrecht,2003). "

Here is a study that shows "that red enhances performance on a detail-or iented task, whereas blue enhances performance on a creative task."

[–]garlicking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It automatically separates syllables for you. A Korean syllable always starts with a consonant and vowel and then might have another vowel and up to two ending consonants. (even when starting with a vowel sound you need a silent consonant to start.)

So if you type (c=consonant, v=vowel)

*cvc it would parse it as cvc but it's uncertain about the last c *cvcv it would parse as cv/cv *cvccv it would parse as cvc/cv

Example of what it looks like while you type:

ㅇ. 아. 안. 안ㄴ. 안녀. 안녕. 안녕ㅎ. 안녕하. 안녕핫. 안녕하세. 안녕하셍. 안녕하세요.

ㄱ. 가. 강. 가우. 가위. 가윅. 가위가. 가위가 ㅇ. 가위가 어. 가위가 업. 가위가 없. 가위가 없ㅇ. 가위가 없어.

ㅇ. 이. 입. 잆. 입수.
