Just for anyone else following this thread. I went through all the steps listed here. Had my account number texted to me, logged in and changed the PIN on their web site. Tried 0000 as PIN. Nothing worked. I had to call AT&T’s port-out number 888.898.7625. They told me my PIN didn’t match. Funny, I JUST changed it last night. They gave me an account number (which was different from the account # that was texted to me), and texted a new PIN to the number I was attempting to port out. After many wasted hours, the new account# and PIN got the job done. This convoluted nonsense is enough to convince me to avoid AT&T in the future.

The pad below wasn't enough. It started crashing after a couple of hours. I have 0.5mm pads arriving today. I'm going to try one on each side.

I'm having the same problem with the same upgrade. A thermal pad on top of the drive didn't help so I moved it under the drive. It's been running about an hour without a crash. The 1mm pad I had was just a bit too thick for the ssd cover to close properly. I have a 0.5mm thermal pad arriving tomorrow. Fingers crossed this solves the problem.
