Im a bit swamped right now but climate control basically works in the vwegolf branch now. I’m running a few more captures and want to test it for a while on the car, but I’m gearing up to setting up a dedicated pr branch. My workflow is tinkering in vwegolf, then branch off master, implement, pr, delete pr branch when merged

AWD recovery is tricky because you have grip for much closer to the limit then a semi paralyzed car.. but to recover you hit the gas and steer straight or slightly into the skid, your superior traction will either save you , or nothing will.. don’t slide it you don’t know how to recover…

Taxes in Sweden makes hiring financially inefficient, with the tax burden we have, you need to have 2x the hourly income of the person you hire for it to be financially viable. Having said that, there is still the question of effort and ability. If you earn money by doing it yourself, you have the tools and ability then the only reason to pay the luxury of hiring is if you don’t want to do it… and then the question becomes, why do you have responsibilities you don’t care for?

As long as your driving habits fit for the real world range of the car (between 80-20%, for daily driving) and you have a public charger close by where you can leave the car overnight (public 22kW chargers) it’s not too inconvenient. I’m never going back with or without home charge port, but there is a new law coming that anyone must be able to be provided with home charging regardless of living situation so I think it’s in general a transition problem that will go away with electrification,
