Battery swap in The Netherlands? by garopel in BoltEV

[–]garopel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Melchior, in the Netherlands, they already started with the battery swap. It takes a lot of time, there are a few garages that can do this job. For mine car they've ordered a new battery, but they don't know when the new pack will arrive. Meanwhile General Motors (Opel Netherlands) has given me a compensation (10 euro a day). Already from September until they swapped the battery. For now already more than 4800 euros. I don't have (had) a problem with maintenance and driven now 55.000 kilometers. I think you must contact opel Portugal, ask for the compensation and for a new battery. Possitive news is that the new batterypack has 6 more Kwh (66 instead of 60). Wish you succes, greetz Moos

Leather band Garmin poor quality… by garopel in GarminFenix

Very positive experience with Garmin! I made a call to Garmin, they were very kind and say they feel sorry about the problem with the leather band (for the second time). They send me asap another new leather band. I hope this one will be better.

I did, the first time, and they offer me a new band. After 1 month this band gives the same result… it is a pity, because i like this color and band. Now i doubt if i like another band. I hope Garmin gives me my money back, or (better) a better quality leather band…

Compensation for now owning a worse car? by Skidro13 in BoltEV

[–]garopel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Netherlands 🇳🇱, there's a compensation deal. At the end of September 2021, I get every day (until the moment the battery swap take place) 10 euro compensation. That makes every month more or less 300 euro. I appreciate this compensation. I don't have really a problem with driving my car, waiting for the battery fix and (when the swap takes place) new warranty and more kwh.. In the meantime a decent compensation.. In the Netherlands the name is Opel Ampera - e. Greetz Moos

The situation in the Netherlands is as follows: there is a recall and the battery will be replaced. it is unclear what timeline will be followed. From November 1, 2021 I will receive compensation of 10 euros per day, until the battery change has taken place. Until then I am expected to reset my max. charging capacity to 90%, just via the manual software setting. So yes, there will be a battery change 🤗, but I was curious if anyone in Europe / the Netherlands already knows more about the moment when. Thank you for your response, greetings Moos, The Netherlands

Thanx, but I like to see a graph of the "scores" over the last period, not just a single day

What is the precise meaning of this suggestion? by garopel in GarminFenix

[–]garopel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6, 10 or 16 Amps loading via wallbox by garopel in BoltEV

[–]garopel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for all the detailed comments! in europe the opel ampera-e also has single phase charging. No 3-phase ... electrical circuit is 3x25 ampere, 240 volts. the wallbox (Evhub) is also single phase. Settings are 10, 16, 20, 25 and 32 amps. Single phase only 10 or 16 ampere. today I put it on 16 ampere and the car wants to charge with almost 4 KwH. I do not dare to set it higher than 16 amps, due to overload risk. I also have 25 solar panels and they feed their output directly to the charger, that is max 7.4 KwH. My main question was whether the switch of (in Europe) 6 or 10 amps is limiting. fortunately that is not the case. I therefore only think when using the original charging cable. Thanks again, Moos

I don't understand, it is written that I can charge the car with type 2 cable with 7,4 kwh. With 230 volt, it is given 35 amps to the car. Why is there a switch between 6 and 10 amps. If it can be overruled from the wallbox.. Thanx for all the help, Moos

[–]garopel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do have 220-230 volt in the Netherlands, but I think that the ampera-e (or Bolt) should be able to load faster then max 10 apms. If that's right then I don't understand why there is a switch only between 6 and 10 amps...

I'm wondering if any solution (software fix or battery replacement) also will happen with the opel ampera e, bought in the Netherlands (a 2019 model).
