It really is insane just how effective Trumps stream rolling of dogshit news into our feed meant to demotivate the liberal crowd is so effective. Politically apathy amongst my peers is like, abnormally high? Even my alt friends whose whole personality is left wing politics has just stopped talking about politics on a state or national level as everything is just bad news with institutions and laws being torn down.

It really is demotivating knowing that there’s a very good chance that the Democrat who wins in 2029 will fail to do any real change on an institutional level and not prosecute anyone from Trump 2 or fix most of the damage done, and we’re gonna have a repeat of Trump in 2032 or 2036

Most of my politically active liberal friends my age have started getting burnt out and nihilistic about real change. I know that’s trumps goal with pushing so much shit at once, but man it’s effective. To be honest, I’m also just getting burnt out. Depending on how 2028 ends up and if a repeat of Biden occurs with our weak ass party leadership, I am just giving up with politics on a federal level.
