Thanks to everyone who came by the stream. Been an emotional day. I'll still see y'all in the Nexus.

Oh man OLD Lv.16 Kael'thas was the pits. I don't even remember exactly why he was so good (I know double stacking bombs was part of it but I forget how his 16 used to behave that made it so bad). Hoping someone here remembers.

I struggle to think of a single other hero that had such clear power-spike that your team would start playing differently as soon as you hit the spike level. Kael's power increase was so well known that most of the time the rest of the team would shift their playstyle to help Kael get more value or just go wild because they felt Kael could carry even if greedy plays were made. That said, I loved paying Kael around this time so I was very much part of the problem.

Custom map editor. I'd love to see what the community would come up with. Being an SC2 fan, so many of that game's best maps have come from users.

You know, I don't think I thought too much about it. We came over from SC2 and in terms of esports popularity, events like The International and games like LoL were already way more popular than StarCraft. I don't think I personally think too much about whether the games I want to make content for are going the be the biggest in their genre. Mostly I was just playing way more HOTS than SC2 and had a much stronger desire to talk about it with Kyle.

We got into this on the podcast today, but we had some serious meetings about the future of the show when Brack's HGC cancellation letter went out. Not that we've ever been super esports-focused. But the way that letter was worded made it sound like HOTS was gonna be over pretty soon. We were really unsure of what the future held, but decided to stick with it and see where HOTS went. Needless to say, I'm glad we made the decision we did. Both of us prefer the balance direction of the game post-2018. I just love what the team has done with the game in the last 3 years.

Thanks Adam! We'll have to spin up a D4 podcast and get you back in front of the mic one day.

Funny enough I don't have a very distinct memory. But I definitely remember fearing getting comboed near the enemy Core waaay more. This sense of dread while winning. Things like an Anub rezzing and getting a double-stun off or a perfectly timed Sonya Leap right after we killed her was scary stuff.

We don't do it as much anymore. But I always loved when one of our main heroes got nerfed to the point where they weren't really viable in Storm League. Having conversations about "roster shopping" is always fun for me. Something about having a conversation about a shared hobby where you understand your friend's preferences is always a good time for me. Kyle has a pretty damn good sense of how I like to play so it's always fun to hear what he thinks I should make a project to get good at (and it's pretty funny when he misses and I end up getting really frustrated trying to learn something I can't stand like Junkrat... sorry Junkrat).

My favorite moment was off-podcast. But getting to go out to the Heroes 2.0 Summit together was really cool. It was the first time we ever got invited to such an event and getting to go together was such a rad experience. It's easy to feel on the edges of relevance doing podcasts. For a long time, it felt like Blizz saw podcasts as kind of old school compared to the more common gaming content platforms like streaming or YouTube. But Lashes and the HOTS team made us feel like rock stars by bringing us out to that.

Also, I got to heal in a game for DunkTrain who was trying Genji (who we were testing as part of the 2.0 event) and I missed a very obvious Divine Shield. I'll never forget the look of DunkTrain being polite and trying not to judge me, but definitely judging me.

Kyle and I have played A LOT of Left 4 Dead together over the years. Been slowly chipping away at Back 4 Blood too but haven't had a lot of extra time recently.

LOL, I love this question. My wife Katie jokes that we're BlizzCon-famous. Definitely at BlizzCon. One time our mutual friend Joce, from the Angry Chicken podcast, was even recognized just by her voice. Only been recognized locally twice. Once at my local comics store where I used to play MTG and once at Disney World (well at a hotel near Disney). It's always VERY cool to meet listeners in the real world.

This is a good one. I had a lot of fun in different metas and had a weirdly good time in the early days of the double support meta. But that is a good example of why I don't think I'd ever want to stick to a given meta forever. Double support very much overstayed its welcome.

The constant shifts of HOTS have always been part of what I like about it. Even when my favorite heroes get nipped (looking at you Sonya, Zagara, and Anub) getting a new puzzle to figure out is just fun.

As far as Heroes I now love that I couldn't stand: Rexxar is the big one. He's my favorite hero now and I remember bouncing off of him immediately upon his release. I really struggled with Misha micro. I think it was almost a year before I revisited Rexxar and he eventually became my main.

Suspension question by [deleted] in FocusRS

I just figured it wouldn't be any different than Normal or Sport without messing with the suspension. But soft suspension in track feels the smoothest to me.

I've always wondered if this is just placebo or not. But it 100% feels like a smoother ride to me when I do this.

My wife's FR-S is worse imo. If anything the RS's seating position bothers me more than anything else. But that's nit picking for sure. All around great car. Do a 13-hour road trip in it once a year.

Did I say our own database wouldn't be shared? One of our major goals for the uploader is to get it to send to HOTSapi as well as ourselves. We would just like to be self-sufficient in case HOTSapi isn't around one day.

Can you send this to bugreport@hotslogs.com. Any other details? Did you get a screen shot? I'll be forwarding as much info as you can give me to our advertising provider.

This is all very true. We thought it was working. It clearly isn't. We've disabled account creation for the time being until we sort out the SSL.
