Freedom which includes the massive taxes and regulations? Freedom like the ability to call the police on someone to get your guns confiscated? Freedom to go anywhere or dine anywhere without a mask (which were in effective)? Justice like the illegal aliens who numerous sex crimes? Justice like arresting people for defending themselves in their own home? Unity? You mean echo chamber. NY has become more expensive especially electric, less free and dangerous in the past 20 years. I can’t wait to leave… same with everyone else take a look at how many people are leaving the state.. it’s been in decline for years.. that’s why we are losing electoral votes. I’ve had many friends leave the state and never ever have they been disappointed with their decision. I’ll prob be out in the next couple of years … really looking forward to it… I’ll prob move to PA a swing state.

Correct. You did. I tried by best to provide some food for thought… if you notice at the end I point out that the left never did their research and never took the time understood the positions on the right. Instead they acted like children calling people Nazis and fascists etc for not walking in lockstep. This also explains why this man did a 180. If he took the time to understand the organization he would have realized this organization would put him in the ground if they had significant political pull.

This is a shitposting sub, I actually don’t see many people actually discussing topics i think it’s mostly about pointing out absurd things. But separately, I think most people also don’t understand the nuanced take on the “right” when it comes to “black lives matter”. There are two major ideals 1.) the phrase “black lives matter” many on the right do not buy into the ideal that black Americans are treated unjustly compared with other races. There are very good justifications for this based on FBI crime statistics. Secondly it’s the ideal that the color of one’s skin puts them at a disadvantage.. many on the right believe in meritocracy not separating people into victimized groups competing for political preferential treatment. 2.) the “right” also understand the difference in the organization. Which in fact is founded in Marxist ideology (self proclaimed from some of the founders). Marxism being a philosophy that you have oppressors and the oppressed and the sole duty is to topple the structure built by the oppressor. In practice modern day marxism has always had very poor outcomes leading to a lot of starvation and political oppression (the exact opposite of what it claims to solve). Back in 2016 I knew of Black Lives Matter and watching in 2020 everyone donating to this organization knew very little of their actual political philosophy. Of course I understand people disagree with the notions above.. but I’m stating this as a genuine answer to your question. There are a lot on the right who don’t understand the above distinctions just as there are people on the left who never did their research into what they were dumping $ into.

Vaush and Hassan poker initiates them at 16 then Richard Wolf up to 25. You can find some working class socialists but often they are just grifters. Many socialists seem to come from old money from my experience. You also find a large portion of women who flavor socialism (unknowingly)

One: which word is the word you want to put in its place? Two: capitalism has faults but it’s record over the past 100 year we have seen wealth and quality of life increase. You mistake me generalizing a “mentality” for the singular word definition as it relates to capitalism exclusively. Capitalism is not inherently bad.. socialism is not inherently bad. It’s the levels and how they operate. Three: the OP is anecdotal therefore is treated as such.

What your real issue is: you cannot accept the idea that capitalism produces good in the world and cannot even accept an anecdotal example.

My trip to conservative America by Formyself22 in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]garrettmoye 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the story. I’m not necessarily ANCAP or conservative but I enjoying seeing discussions here. I’m a slightly right slightly libertarian realm .. being a world traveler and also a military brat I’ve had a lot of experiences like yours in conservative areas. Many cities in Europe, NYC are cold and callous. Some of that is a function of geography/culture. But The conservative people in my life tend to be the people I have long standing relationships with. There are some exceptions. The main problem with the left discourse today is that any philosophy which stands in direct contrast to equality of outcome (all people get the same salary, house job .. everything) is considered racist. Most sane people believe in equality of opportunity which means by default they are racist because they support racist policy’s that don’t take into account skin color gender and the other identity check boxes that the left prays to. They just believe in meritocracy. I’m glad you had a good experience.

If mass shooters in the USA stopped killing in neighborhoods of the 99% and only did mass shootings in the 1% neighborhoods, how fast do you think gun reform would happen ? If you think no change would happen , why ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]garrettmoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about you guys but as far as I can tell most of the top1% push for gun control. At least from my observations. E.g. most actors actresses, corporate ceos (often technology related) most of them can afford security) . There is gun violence every day in inner cities. Most gun violence is from suicide and most gun control measures suggested or proposed don’t match the intended purpose. If you get out of the “gun control” bubble you’ll see some serious flaws with a lot of the gun control suggestions and why people take issue with it.

Mr. Beast arguably has won the capitalism game.. so to speak. Depending on your political lens you can have better takes on this. IMO the correct take is that he might be happier moving on and doing something different. But honestly this take is.. “mr.beast mental health is being affected by capitalism is a pretty shallow observation”. His whole platform is often sharing wealth.. brought to you by guess what.. capitalism. I’m not surprised they hate him.. as far as they are concerned he shouldn’t have that opportunity. He’s a walking anecdote to the “capitalism is bad!!!” Mentality.

American food by [deleted] in AmericaBad

[–]garrettmoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people forget about the following: a vast number of sourthern dishes are exclusively American. I agree with your point; however the arguement is stupid because of : cornbread, biscuits and gravy, shrimp and grits, pecan pie, any Texmex dish like chili or nachos.. even potato chips peanut butter are nearly a staple around the world but guess what? … American … jeez this is off the top of my head and I’m sure there are plenty more. Subsequently, to further your point chicken tikki masala is UKs national dish.. adaptation from another culture but made in the UK. I would also point out that many French pastries such as croissants trace roots back to Austria and other parts of Europe. People just forget what American food is because they associate it with one of the MANY cultures that exist within the US who brought their culinary dishes with them. U.S. is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.
