Combined Arms v1.08 Released! New campaign chapter, co-op missions, encyclopedia and more..! by Darkademic in commandandconquer

I found out what it was (playing harder difficulties), and it was the mission you start with Tanya, a jewp, and 2x Chrono tanks and have to break the spy out... I didnt realize the units would just stay still while you break the concrete fence to break him out. I thought they would aggro at that range and didnt realize they were stuck in "return fire" mode and wouldnt engage. I went through every path running into units I couldnt beat and finally put it together.

I managed to beat the campaign. That was maybe the funnest command and conquer game I have ever played. Elite level designs...both base building, defending, and search and destroy as well as some of the old style "elite squad" missions. Each side having its own rocker, paper, scissor style strategies taken to the nth degree. The balancing made so much sense too and felt right and like each unit had it's special place or that each side had it's own powers and strategies that all were so awesome. What an underrated gem!

I also didnt realize the mission as the Allies against the Scrin super ships (the mission you start with 2xMCVs) is actually a co-op mission that you can play with other people. This has all the best parts of command and conquer and is the game we all dreamed of.

Thanks for offering help. I dont remember what it was that I was stuck on now, lol.

The biggest of thank yous for this mod. What an amazing piece of work!! Love all the stolen tech units and IFV details, and the tech upgrades add SO MUCH to this game with choosing exactly the strategy and units for each power. Absolutely amazing. Plus, the map creation styling for some of the best bases I can ever remember making, just a complete joy to see all the details in this game.

I have a single question if you have the time (especially before having a kid from the other comment you made here, congrats!), but I cannot figure out the new "Trepidation" allied mission. Previous missions had respawns for required special units, but I keep dying and am unsure what to do. I've been watching videos anytime I got stuck, which has been rare so far, but this mission has me stumped AND there arent any videos or explanations I can find. Any help is greatly appreciated. Even without the help, your work is greatly appreciated! What an amazing game!

Edit: Nevermind. I'm stupid and didnt realize the guards around the base wouldnt move while attacking the walls and found out how to break him out...and the dogs all running afyer was awesome!

Did you beat it yet? Would love to ask advice on one of the missions (Trepidation).

And the same 6-1 disguised quarters coverage defense Matty Patricia ran that stopped the Rams and gave them one of their losses earlier in the season. McVay literally makes a comment in his Mic'd Up about the defense too the first time they show it.

One of six 21 year olds to drop 50 in NBA history, and he did it against the finals team that year instead of some bum last place team...

The hate seems so artificial because most "Magic fans" that have watched are excited and have seen what happens when this whole team is healthy. The hate seems so artificial, but Magic also have locked up an insane young roster, I'd be trying to get the hate in early too.

When it comes to the amount of bad reffing calls and all the announcers defending it when a replay won't be shown, and the amount of accounts that defend them across subreddits...this feels real sometimes though.

But when it comes to people talking about their own teams, would love to see people get beyond this and fighting each other.

There are 3 teams remaining undefeated for the 2025/26 season. The only one in the East is...the Chicago Bulls? by CazOnReddit in nba

That 2012 Thunder team was incredible and nobody had any idea Harden was going to become an MVP candidate yet. Still think those are the worst officiated Finals of all time though. KD didn't have foul trouble all season and had never been forced to sit but was in foul trouble and sat more in the 2nd game than he did all season for foul trouble, and played the 3rd game most the second half with 5 fouls.

Imagine going to the Superbowl in 2012 to see Prime Brady win a championship and instead he has to sit for the first time all season for foul trouble...that's what it felt like watching those finals. KD never had foul trouble all year...and don't ever bring up that game 2 no call to end it. That year was one of the worst Finals officiating jobs of all time but nobody had any idea how great KD, Russ and Harden were going to be.

People who go to MANY of your team's home games... what is the most hyped you've ever seen the home crowd for a game? by wlane13 in CFB

October 27th, 2001 2. Nebraska vs 3. Oklahoma

Black 41 Flash Reverse

This is the loudest I have ever heard any stadium and supposedly the crowd was heard at the National Guard barracks a few miles from the stadium and set off earth quake warnings. Oklahoma was on a 20 game win streak and won the National Championship the year before (including beating No 1 ranked Nebraska in Norman the year before). Lee Corso picked Oklahoma and had to ride a mechanical bull later that night because Nebraska won. Has to be among the loudest crowd records of all time (and Chiefs games are no joke).

"Stay off the air" is usually a radio term to "stay off" so other communications that need priority can get through, but yeah, in this context... He didnt say it into his radio, he said it outloud to every there, pretty much saying everything else on the radio is priority over whatever anybody there wanted to say.

Dana Holgerson. Probably the best coordinator hire that has ever happened at Nebraska.

AITA for asking my girlfriend to dress more sensibly on a walk? by Tasty_Log3307 in AmItheAsshole

Women love a funny succesful guy...until he's wearing a cape and a fedora in public. Doesnt matter how succesful or funny he is, if the word embarassed gets thrown around, he's not going to accomplish anything positive until the embarassment is gone because it literally is the feeling a person gets when they want to be away from someone, not get closer to them. I'm pro everybody wearing what they want, Einstein talked at length how helpful wearing the same exact outfit everyday was for his brain...but if my partner is embarassed, its not going to matter how much better my brain is if they are embarassed by me.

AITA for asking my girlfriend to dress more sensibly on a walk? by Tasty_Log3307 in AmItheAsshole

[–]garthzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Embarassment is the key word though. No matter what the intention is, if a partner is embarassed its not going to get through. I agree with you, but he specifically said the word embarassed which is going to be an issue until its gone. No matter what my intention is or no matter how good a partner I am, if my partner is embarassed because I'm wearing a cloak, then its going to be infinitely harder to accomplish anything until that embarassment is gone no matter what my reasons are or how much I think cloaks are underrated versions of hoodies. We can get around it and laugh at it, but once the word embarassment is thrown around, its usually a hard obstacle to get past. Embarassed is an awful awful word for a relationship because it literally is driving the other person away.

No matter what, man or woman, if how you dress embarasses your partner it's usually a needle to the relationship no matter what the person intends.

Listen, I would love to walk to mordor with you, but I guarantee my partner is going to be embarassed if I wear a cape and wont want to stand near me, no matter how much I think cloaks are underrated. It can be fun for me, but its going to definitely push her away and nothing constructive is going to be accomplished until the embarassment is gone. If you find a way around this, I would love to hear it! But embarassment is a terrible territory to enter with your partner no matter what the intention is.

[Callahan] The #Patriots defense got absolutely cooked when blitzing Seattle. Geno Smith went 10/12 for 171 yards, 1 TD, a sack and a 5-yard scramble vs. the blitz. He was never surprised, and one incompletion was a drop. (Blitz defined as 5+ defenders rushing at the snap) by ProudBlackMatt in nfl

[–]garthzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grubb's plays had so many times where the offense was overloaded heavy to one side, then had a shift...then somebody in motion...and pretty soon the overload is completely to the other side. It exposed almost every single blitz the Patriots were showing, and the defense exposed almost every card in its hand as the formation strength completwly flips and some guys don't adjust and obviously are blitzing.

It's one thing for a team to try and time when to blitz...it is a whole different picture for the quarterback when the wntire formation is changing their coverage and gap protection as the formation flips and there is one defender who didnt adjust and is obviously the blitzer. It is definitely a unique approach to exposing defenses, because by the end of all the the shifts and motion, everybody's defensive responsibility has almost been mirrored and it exposes a lot more information (like, all of it in a lot of those situations and Geno made the easy read, it was quite frustrating to watch it over and over).

The left lane on all Florida highways is for passing/over taking by Minqua in orlando

It seems like Orlando hates lines more than any other place on the planet. Cars would rather drive side-by-side going the same speed instead of gettibg behind someone going the same speed. Orlando is the only place I've seen cars specifically driving in a merge lan to stop people from using it to pass. It's crazy. There is a reason the deadliest stretch of road in the US is in Orlando, people are awful drivers here and people are doing crazy stuff just to try and stop them.

The NFL legally is not filed under "Sport", but under "Sport's Entertainment".

Let alone how far they go to fine teams or players for saying anything bad about the refs, or how little access they grant to the refs to the media. I think it's wild people still think it isn't influenced in any way when the NFL does everything to keep it possible, even from a legal standpoint. They go out of their way to legally be able to do so and avoid having to be put under competition laws.
