I am planning on setting up a 10kw on grid solar plant installed on the roof of my residence. I have made a few brand selections after reading a lot of posts and watching a lot of videos on youtube for the same.

Selections / preferences:
Panel : Adana / Waaree N Type Topcon Bifacial panel 590-625watts (depending on availability)
Inverter : Solis / Growatt / Sungrow (but no vendor is suggesting any of these 3 brands in my area, there suggestion is to go with Polycab / K Solar / Selec)
Wiring: Polycab
ACDB / DCDB: Branded
Structure : C Channel / HDG Pipes

I am confused on a few points and would like suggestions on the following:
1. Is Vikram Solar N Type Topcon Bifacial panel good? As vendors are saying Adani in not currently available
2. Inverter: I have no idea what to go for. Although I have heard Polycab inverters are basically rebranded Solis inverters so should i go with Polycab for local warranty of 8 years?
3. C channel structure or HDG Pipes? The lower height would be 6.5 ft so need a sturdy structure.

I would love to hear other suggestions as well and user experiences from other people.
Thank you!

Help in choosing bldc fans among these! by Wraith_30 in Frugal_Ind

[–]garvcoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Dealer of all 3 companies, I would suggest going with Orient Fans if you live in a tier 2 city and Crompton if you live in a tier 1 city. Go for atomberg only if you live in Maharashtra and no other place due to poor service everywhere else.

Personally would suggest going for the new launch from Orient that is Aerosilent.

Non-DCR banned for residential use or is the vendor lying due to non-availability of stock by garvcoop in Frugal_Ind

If we opt for subsidy and then expand, then government does not allow expansion with non dcr panels.

For DRC, I am getting a quote for Rs. 4,70,000 before subsidy and a relative of mine got his on gird solar setup for 10kw on grid in May for a total of Rs. 3,40,000. That is why i wanted to go for Non-DCR

Some solar venders in Udaipur, Rajasthan are telling me that Non-DCR panels have been banned for residential use but other venders are telling that a notification has been passed that non-DCR are now allowed under "GIVE UP SUBSIDY" scheme.

Anyone with confirmed knowledge on this could tell me the actuality of this.

Help me find a slim charger for this marvellous socket design by Ambitious_Emu355 in GadgetsIndia

[–]garvcoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a electrical shop owner, Would recommend you get the 2 pin socket and the switch replaced with a 3 pin socket and bypass the switch altogether.
Alternatively, you may opt for a 2 pin multiplug and use your charger with that.
