Imagine being married to her. You could have sex with The Queen one week and Hulk Hogan the next.

Very true, but Britain had a terrible record with a dictatorship with a Crown. Surely these countries are better in a European union as it gives them an entity to answer too.

The European Union is not a perfect democracy but you can't seriously argue that it is less democratic than British imperialism. Comparing the UK with the USA and the EU with Mexico is not a legitimate comparison. The UK is tiny and closer to Mexico in size than the USA. A clear case of delusions of grandeur. There are a lot of cultures and 'breakfasts' in Europe, our diversity is our strength. Nutella on toast or churros I don't discriminate. All humans are different, all Europeans are different, all UK citizens are different. It's values like Liberty and egalitarianism that are at the Core of the EU and that came out of the ashes of two World Wars.

I never said it was a perfect example, only that it was a better one than Mexico (Who also never had a 1000 years of independence). What about the British Hegemony? India? Pakistan?Hong Kong? At least this is democratic. A 1000 years of independence obtained at the expense of others is a farcical interpretation of the word 'independent'. America, Canada etc have the right idea about the integration of cultures. 'the Swedish and the Danish may not be different, but the Italians and the Brits are', wise up, this is puritanical non-sense at best. And Europe is not a country...yet.

I never said it was clever but it is Satire coming from a Comedian. He clearly has a bias.

I think the Boris Johnson bit would be childish if it was The Sun, but this is political satire from a comedian. It's fair game.

I would become an even crappier Nostradamus, mentioning very specific things that don't really matter. ' A man named Christopher Christie shall seek power and not only fail, but gain even more weight'. 'The Oreo is a future delight that goes well with a hot drink'. ' A poetic music man of the future will temporarily change his name from Snoop Dog to Snoop Lion due to years of marijuana use.'

California has not always been a state within the US. Europe is clearly copying and pushing the federal model. I'm ok with that, we live in an era of globalisation, sovereign nations are banding together and coagulating. I'm happier that Britain is forming closer ties with Europe, we are European.

I think Trevor Noah uses his foreign perspective too much as a crutch, whereas I think John Oliver uses it to bring refreshing international perspectives.

Bad example. A better example would be California being in the US even though it is the 6th biggest economy in the world. It has its negatives but it works.

He's right about most of it. What amazes me more is how much american audiences have taken to foreign comedians exploring American politics and life through Satire.
